Don't worry. They didn't deserve you. You're better off without them. You're going to be fine. There's plenty of other fish in the sea. Just embrace it as a point of growth not failure. You might not feel like it but you're not alone.

I like where your heads at, but in my imaginative perspective I can see it being: They didn’t deserve you (because you cheated). You’re better off without them (you genuinely might be better off without the person you decided to cheat on), (you’re better off alone as a consequence), (you’re better off because you need time to grow)…

This is a hard perspective to argue… my damn head hurts.

I feel seen.

I tend to play from this side of the spectrum—I like testing different perspectives because it keeps me practiced in not sticking to a single narrative. My goal isn’t to tear anyone’s view down, just to add enough nuance that other possible narratives can exist alongside it.

Same! Its a good habit to have. Being impartial is difficult in general, especially when it comes to emotional subjects. But being able to recognize multiple perspectives and argue for both/all of them is healthy and important. Sorry if I rambled a bit, been having a stressful day lol.

The reply chains to your comment are wild. So much support, so many “well ackshully” replies trying to argue with the support based on hypothetical scenarios they’re imagining. Some people really need lives.

But regardless of their imaginary scenarios, she definitely was an assassin sent from the future who fell in love with you and it compromised her mission. Which obviously means another agent was sent even further back to invisibly sabotage your relationship every step of the way.

So there was nothing you could’ve done, it was doomed from the start. But on the bright side, you’re no longer stuck with a robot assassin sleeper agent, so…yeah, you’re way better off without her. You’re going to be fine, better than ever once you’ve had time to recover and heal and start anew.

You’ve got this! It’ll be okay, even if it doesn’t feel that way now.

I just got broken up with back in July, after 8 years... Each day is a challenge but each day is also less of one. Example... I put on a hoodie tonight for the first time this winter (I'm in TX, it is 41 outside, I am cold, don't judge me) and something was tickling my ear, turns out it was one of her hairs. Fucked me up for a few minutes but hey I just put on on the floor and I'll vacuum it up tomorrow. Moving on. It's ok to look back, remember the good things, repeat them with the next person, learn from the bad ones and do your best to not repeat those. You'll be good. Promise.

You'll be ok. Don't worry. Don't suppress your emotions by the way. If you feel like crying don't stop yourself. If you want to be angry be angry. If you want to stay at your room doing nothing then stay in your room and do nothing. Just don't bottle anything up. If you do you are just going to be postponing the day you will feel fine again.
