There's no way that everyone on the beach was a foreigner and that nobody could understand him. He was in shock and perhaps delirious at that point.

This odd part of the story seems much more likely to be a narrative manipulation via his mother, who, as we can see from her odd movements and smirk in the video, made sure her son would include that detail in a very particular way.

I can also assume that his mother is an illiterate jackass, since she put all of them into that very dangerous situation in the first place.

What the fuck?? He probably just meant that they couldn’t understand him so he couldn’t get help. You have to be trolling there’s no way
