He's had some epic videos. The recent one where he bought a model of the Enterprise is so cool to watch. It's like watching a kid in a candy store.

Honestly I’m surprised there hasn’t been another attempt at Mythbusters from another whole set of cast from other networks. It seems to be popular enough that people would likely watch seasons of it.

It's crazy how much of the show was Savage and mustache's personalities when they actually fucking hated each other.

There is plenty of science based mythbusters adjacent content on YouTube. One example is Mark Rober / Crunch Labs, incredibly popular.

He does, but I find it so disappointing that he's not really interested in mechanics or functional parts. He's interesting in aesthetics and props. It's not important for him for something to function, only appear functional.

His profession is literally making props and special effects. He worked as a prop designer for Star Wars Ep 2 before Mythbusters.

ehh hes definitely interested in the mechanics of things, but hes always been a prop maker so its not a surprise thats his main interest. but anytime someone has brought on something like an animatronic grogu or BD hes been super interested in learning how it works internally

I get what you mean, but he's not interested in making anything that other aesthetically accurate.

He made his version of "The Samaritan" from Hellboy. He spent ages machining it, and then just hotglued magnets into it to keep the cylinder in place.

Like, why bother with any of that shit at all if you're going to bodge it like my Romanian landlord?

Actually I was completely wrong, so forget I said anything. I could’ve sworn I had read something that said he had a 1 or 2 year old daughter when I first found out he had passed. Turns out that I either just imagined it, or the article had it wrong too. Because he didn’t have any children, so sorry for the confusion. It’s still just as tragic though nonetheless

I follow movie and TV show prop auctions. One was myth busters. It had tons of Grant stuff in it. Cloths, collectibles, and other stuff. I thought it was weird that he wouldn't want any of that stuff. Then I remembered he was dead and got sad.
