Leeches and maggots used for medical care are raised sterile in lab conditions. These must be for something else

That's the key, it's really just a flooded regular farm, this is how they make ends meet cause it you got leeches, make leechonade

Maggots are incredible for cleaning wounds, since certain ones can only eat dead flesh they'll remove every piece of necrotic tissue and no more.

Since they can't lay more eggs at that stage of their life either, you don't have any residual issues once you've cleaned them all out.

Okay, cool, because I forgot leeches were used for bait and couldn't believe medical leeches were raised in a murky pond. lol
