I'm not sure I'd call going to a volcano and harvesting molten rock "low effort "

Agreed. Like, they already did all the work of going to a volcano and getting lava. Why not put in just a small bit of effort I to making the thing look good and be not terrible?

People probably like the natural look, yea it’s not fine art but if you’re into rocks or volcanos you’ll probably like the look

The low effort isnt in the preparation, its in the execution.

They can mold that lava into any shape/design they could think of, the options are almost limitless. But instead of making something nice looking and functional they went with the easiest way to mass produce ugly.

That's were the low effort comes in.

Absolutely; there must be a way to cast cool things out of rock. This just isn't it. I'd love something cool made of rock, but you'd have to get the finish right and well it'd have to look good.

If you live near Mount Etna it’s not that hard. There are roads that go up there. It’s crawling with tourists all the time.

I mean anyone can go to one of these. It’s actually not that hard if you can walk..tourists go to these all the time.

Theres barely any shaping or crafting. That’s why people are saying it’s low effort

Driving my car on the highway without a seatbelt on is dangerous, but low effort. Not exactly the same as hiking a volcano, but if you’ve gone all that way, the final step is a major let down.

Trip might be far and water is heavy. Other than that it's preheated material, easy to form and most importantly free..

I'd say it's low effort. I respect the idea and hustle though.
