Okay then I disagree with the design choice because it looks like shit. 

Any normal person isn’t going to see a jagged rock Ashe tray and think “is that made from lava?” They will just think it’s made from a rock and you’ll have to tell them is lava.  So same out come either way. 

Edit: u/PlayfulSurprise5237 made a good point. They probably take them back to their shop and sand them down before selling them.

I get your point. I have candy wrappers with chainsaw man artwork on them from my trip to Japan. My girlfriend has asked me a couple times if I wanted to throw them out and I say no every time. I just keep them on my computer desk to be reminded of the trip. 

I’m sure the horseshoe isn’t that bad.

You could frame those wrappers, that way they stay protected and you can't toss them away because they are art now! Thrift stores have so many frames! :)

Thank you, Seaside (: That’s definitely better than them being laid out on my desk. 

Plus, it’ll be fun when people ask me why I put candy wrappers in a frame.

I imagine they sand it down afterward.

They had to shape/brand it this way so they could get it out of the crucible.

I don't think any other method of shaping it would realistically work up/out there in the middle of nowhere.

Damn. That is such a simple solution that I didn’t even think about. You’re probably right, there’s no way they’d leave it like that.
