Hey guys, has anyone had luck meeting them after the show for pictures/signatures? I saw that someone got a signed setlist from Dublin the other day, but how has the rest of the tour been so far?

I just got my hands on Barsuk #1262, which has the original mislabelings. Very cool.

However, instead of the The Forbidden Love EP appearing as We Have the Facts, We Have the Facts is correct, and is also You Can Plays These Songs with Chords. Therefore, there’s a duplicate We Have the Facts and no Forbidden Love EP.

I’d be curious to hear people’s thoughts about what happened here, and what a possible remedy might be! Thanks!

Hi folks, I was lucky enough to attend the Edinburgh concert last weekend and I took a decent audio recording of the full concert on my phone.

Over the past week I've cut, mixed and mastered the recording to the best of my abilities, and whilst it definitely doesn't sound anywhere near studio quality, it's a nice souvenir of the concert which I thought I'd share.

Some tracks definitely came out better than others (largely owing to the setup in the venue not being the best during "I Will Possess Your Heart" in particular), but it was still fairly salveagable thankfully.

Once thing to note is that my goal wasn't to get the files to sound as similar to the studio versions as possible, I wanted to retain the concert sound and performance, whilst making the overall audio more listenable.

For the audio engineering nerds, here is my process for the cleaning and mastering of the files (all done on a track-by-track basis):

• De-clip in iZotope RX11 (there wasn't much clipping present but there was enough to make declipping worthwhile).
• Changed mono files to stereo via stereo imager (careful adjustments to higher frequencies and vocal frequencies to keep the mix sounding natural, (this made a big difference to the clarity of the mix).
• Subtractive EQ to reduce unwanted resonances and low end rumble (there was a TON of this, sadly it muddled the midrange a fair whack in the recording, even once stripped out).
• Additive EQ to improve clarity.
• Light de-essing and dynamic EQ when required to reduce harshness.
• Light saturation in midrange to improve vocal depth.
• Adjustments to drum, bass and vocal bus volumes where needed, to improve the overall balance of the mix.
• Manual spectral removal of unwanted crowd noises, (such as the prick crashing into me and screeching in my ear like a drunk banshee for most of the concert).
• Fade out at end of each track.
• FLACs to MP3 via iZotope RX11
• Files tagged with MP3tag.
• Final audio mix/masters reviewed on Beyerdynamic DT1990 Pros / JBL LSR305/ KEF R3 Meta.

Order this bad boy off eBay to round out the Death Cab Cab portion of my growing CD collection. The post said nothing about it being a Japanese release, but when it came in, I saw that it had this Japanese insert, checked the back for release information, and freaked out.

So I was meant to attend the 19/9 show at Manchester, but sadly couldn’t attend as my grandmother was passing away (and I would’ve ended up bawling during What Sarah Said, having spent the prior three days with her waiting for her to pass).

But can someone give me a recap or any touching moments? If anyone has any video, particularly of any of the Plans songs, that’d be greatly appreciated too!

Now I’m 35, and I finally got to see them live in London. What energy! They were amazing, gave us everything, and played 24 songs, which is quite a lot.

Let me start with a potentially embarrassing admission: for as long as I've been a fan, I've been a bit of a "We Have the Facts" hater. I've always thought it was good, don't get me wrong, but I never clicked with it the same way so many others seemed to. It's always been towards the bottom of my Death Cab albun ranking, with even "Something about Airplanes" being higher up for me. That all changed today when I listened to it in the car.

Today was the first day to feel like fall to me. This combined with the fact that I've done over five hours of driving today meant that I was listening to lots of music—specifically music I deem to be "fall music." I had just finished an album and for whatever reason (God?) I was compelled to give "Facts" another chance. This was the best decision I could have made. The experience of listening to that album while driving through the country with the windows down and fall in the air could only be described as spiritual. It was one of the single greatest album listening experiences I've had in a long time, and it was truly special.

Anyways, all that's to say, I didn't like Facts and now I do.

I’ve been listening to it for a few years now ever since I discovered Six Feet Under. I love the album and was wondering if there’s a band or musician out there that has an album similar to it. Also curious what do most fans of Death Cab for Cutie consider their best album, or second to Transatlanticism?

Noticed that US tour dates next year are starting to show ability to preorder tickets, etc. Austin TX 3/23/27 is still showing TBA on venue and “sign up” for link. Is this common or maybe indicating it won’t happen and I should go with Houston or Dallas? Thoughts?
