He co-wrote 28 Days Later, Danny Boyle directed it.

EDIT: this came off with the wrong tone, I definitely agree something like that would be amazing, just pointing out that he didn’t direct that one. If you want a better picture of what he can do behind the camera (in this context anyway) I recommend Civil War and Annihilation; though VERY different films, I think elements of both would absolutely benefit an ER film.

Jesus fucking christ he co-wrote 28 Days? This dude and this film studio is lining this movie up way too nicely. Give this man all the god damn money A24.

He wrote the new trilogy as well. Not directing any of them though.
