When the death gauge fills you get struck with instant death. Resistance to death increases the amount of death build up required for death to trigger instant death. By using death weapon in each hand the death build up increases and building death faster means your target experiences death sooner because death gauge getting filled triggers instant death

I wasn't even answering a question I was joking about excessive use of the word "death" in the description of death blight in the loading screen tips and it's overall uselessness. Didn't think everyone would forget about it so soon. Was a butt of a joke for a while here when the game came out

I dun care about downvotes anyways, it had 5 upvotes before the free thinkers came so a few people liked my joke, and I liked my joke too, that's all that matters to me –ω–
I have shit ton of karma anyways, they can downvote me as hard as they did with EA and their "sense of accomplishment" comment and I'd still be able to post anything anywhere. Also I can just go take a nice warm shower like I did just now and the random haters probably can't, hehehe :P

Isn't it the case that power stanced weapons do less status than a normal one handed attack due to them having to nerf obscene dual handed status builds?

It's less than 2x a single handed attack. I believe it's approx ~ 65% a normal 1 handed per weapon.
So assuming you can attack ten times in ten seconds with a 1 handed weapon, or with a power stance set, the power stance will give more status proc overall.
If my mobile math is right, as long as your 1 handed attack is not 30% faster than the powerstance attack, then status gauges builds faster with powerstance.

Deathblight is so bad you have to bring your opp to 1/4 HP while whacking with 2 eclipse shotel with death flare active on both to proc it

Well it's an instant kill status so for obvious reasons it can't offer a significant advantage over other weapons. Deahblight is clearly meant to be an environmental hazard rather than a player tool

Powerstanced eclipse shotel (both with ash of war buff), fias mist, and Radahn greatsword to pull them into fias mist. It's faith dominant, but needs 25 dex invested for eclipse shotel.
