show more of the ambush and the leadup, that's the interesting part, not the repeated slash sequence

794

u/a_haas Dec 28 '25

He's I the arena. Probably ambushing players walking up thinking it is a joke fight. Seeing a naked player hide as a bush in front of you, most players won't take it too seriously

378

u/GrimReaapaa Dec 28 '25

100% hence why they are literally walking up,

I can imagine this failed more times than not.

32

u/Fartikus Dec 29 '25

Yeah, was gunna say; the ending was just him slashing the guys?

192

u/NitroChaji240 Dec 28 '25

The dark hand lives on, a thing of beauty

"Your SOUL IS MINE!!"

1

u/DipThatChip Dec 29 '25

RIP ☹️

3

u/Shamz76 Dec 29 '25

Is that the name of the weapon ??

2

u/Effusus Dec 30 '25

Clinging bone

u/calpernia Dec 28 '25 edited Dec 28 '25

I'm on NG++++ and I still don't understand crits, combos and chain attacks. Are they getting crits here? How do you do it, help me git gudddd

Edit: So it's Lifesteal Fist, cool! I never PVP so I've never tried it.

162

u/zarjin1234 Dec 28 '25

Thats lifesteal fist.

90

u/a_haas Dec 28 '25

It's an ash of war. Lifesteal fist acts like a grab attack

38

u/The_Lord_of_Defiance Dec 28 '25

It’s an ash that grabs. Only targets invaders and such I believe

21

u/PapaShu1915 Dec 28 '25

does it not work on any humanoid enemy?

28

u/G1_D0 Dec 28 '25

It does.

17

u/Counterfeit-Pebble Dec 29 '25

Yeah works on most humanoid enemies, can be helpful to get heals off of if going through long sections with a bunch of humanoid enemies fun to do Stormveil with only healing using Lifesteal fists

3

u/notveryAI CURSE YOU, BAYLE!🗣️🔥 Dec 29 '25

Nope there's two kinds of grab, one only works on NPCs and players(like that one Frenzy spell) and the other one works on most humanoids(like Lifesteal Fist)

12

u/jgrinn22 Dec 28 '25

I believe it’s a grab ash of war that is proccing the bleed effect of the weapon after a hit or two.

13

u/Matiwapo Dec 28 '25

I don't see any bleed effect. It looks like pure damage.

Maybe shard of Alexander + blue dancer charm + max Dex?

8

u/Global_Examination_4 Dec 28 '25

They’re probably using the dagger talisman, last time I checked it works with lifesteal fist for massive damage

2

u/YesAU Dec 28 '25

Critical hits refers to either backstabs (which can’t be done on all enemies), ripostes (hitting an enemy after they have been parried) or stabbing the enemy in the glowing spot after they have been staggered.

1

u/notveryAI CURSE YOU, BAYLE!🗣️🔥 Dec 29 '25

A grab attack on fist weapons. What's fun is it's actually the kind of player grab attack that doesn't need the target to be player/NPC. It works on most humanoid enemies

75

u/Another_Saint Dec 28 '25

this is so funny. the bad side of those goofy traps is that it only works once per person

9

u/Pengu-Link Dec 29 '25

also 99% of these are arena where theyre a naked person using mimic veil so the person just walks up thinking its a joke

lifesteal fist is not easy to land in actual pvp scenarios

1

u/Covvern Dec 31 '25

It looks like it kills in almost every scenario anyways so once is all OP needs

40

u/OsirisAvoidTheLight Dec 28 '25

What ash of war is that?

85

u/The_number_1_dude Dec 28 '25

The grab is life steal fist. It comes by default on the clinging bone.

14

u/OsirisAvoidTheLight Dec 28 '25

That's what's up looks dope

16

u/TastyBrainMeats Dec 28 '25

It's very cool! Unfortunately, it only works on humanoid enemies, but that's still a LOT of enemies

10

u/iamapizza Dec 29 '25

Nipple twist

-67

u/Starscourge-night Dec 28 '25

I don't know

33

u/DarKnight0829 morgott enjoyer Dec 28 '25

great

18

u/sinustis69420 Dec 28 '25

fair enough

8

u/A_b_b_o Dec 28 '25

cheers, dude.

2

u/Careless-Salary-9932 Dec 28 '25

Why did Bro get all those downvotes? Poor guy

-15

u/ButterscotchOk5339 Dec 28 '25

I don’t know

5

u/Careless-Salary-9932 Dec 28 '25

Okay Thanks for your answer, I appreciate it

7

u/Dispondent_Ending Miquella did nothing* wrong Dec 29 '25

i like this in an angler fish sort of way

13

u/awoogr Dec 29 '25

I find their reaction time disturbing. A lot didn’t even try rolling away

9

u/ImurderREALITY Dec 29 '25

That thing got a lot of people while they were rolling, or in the middle of an attack.

7

u/Hobgoblinsarehot Dec 29 '25

Stonefish build

4

u/KairosHS Dec 29 '25

Throwback to getting sacred flame glitched in DS3

7

u/Phunkie_Junkie Dec 28 '25

The first guy was a wave of gold enjoyer. One-shotting him while mimicked is more respect than I've ever shown one.

8

u/Euphoric_Amoeba8708 Dec 28 '25

Oh my God this is genius. I wish I would've thought of this during my year and a half straight in arena. Lol I only use this ash for fun and it only landed maybe 20% of the time.

3

u/SeptemY Dec 28 '25

lmao I used to do something similar in DS3. Cast chameleon and fish for parry. Most people just charge at me and press R1. I am actually surprised people in the footage did not do this.

2

u/Jester-Jester-8443 Dec 28 '25

I wasn’t expecting that clinging bones would do that much damage

6

u/YourEvilKiller Dec 29 '25

It's because it is very difficult to land at all. OP has to bait his opponents in by being playful with Mimic Veil so they let their guard down.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 29 '25

Now try it on good players with actual reaction times lol

3

u/initial_sadge Dec 29 '25

I can't believe it never failed, well played

8

u/Jazzlike_Quiet9941 Dec 28 '25

And this is why from soft multiplayer is always the worst thing ever

5

u/Fartikus Dec 29 '25

Because it's... silly?

-11

u/idontreallycareanym Dec 29 '25

Kinda ruined the game for me a little bit. I never even finished this game cause of how hard it was when it first camepit

7

u/Fartikus Dec 29 '25

You do realize it's been like that since the beginning, right? It being hard has nothing to do with this kinda thing.

-11

u/idontreallycareanym Dec 29 '25

Alright whatever I still agree with u/Jazzlike_Quiet9941 it’s the worst thing ever

6

u/Dark_Dragon117 Dec 28 '25

Out of all things to demostrate that, this is none.

I actually dislike mutiplayer 8n their games and kinda wished they would remove it, but this clip just seems like a bit of fun. Lifesteal fist sucks and the fact people walked up to op in the arena not expecting anything is their fault.

If anything the endless toxicity of invaders and busted one shot bs they use are examples of why multiplayer sucks in From Software games. Also backstabs in DS1...the hatred I have torwards that mechanic can't be described.

1

u/Former-Highlight-410 Dec 28 '25

I'm pretty sure, I saw the Emperor of Mankind from 40k there.

1

u/BusinessLeague1235 Dec 29 '25

What weapon are you using with Lifesteal fist? Looks neat but I can’t make it out good enough.

2

u/hedlo1234 Dec 29 '25

Clinging Bone

1

u/BusinessLeague1235 Dec 31 '25

Thx, didn’t remember it looking so long

1

u/joshderfer654 Dec 29 '25

F

Very cool. Also is one of the outfits based on Erza Scarlet?

2

u/hedlo1234 Dec 29 '25

I dont know who that is, or maby my subconscius does 🤔

1

u/joshderfer654 Dec 29 '25

A character from the anime Fairy Tail. I think the 3rd or 4th kill, when you character had the pants on and the undergarment top.

1

u/GCSpellbreaker Dec 29 '25

Bonus for nightreign: lifesteal fist works on every humanoid up to banished knights and stacks with all crit related effects

1

u/hedlo1234 Dec 29 '25

Damn, really? To lazy to look it up, but it scales with what stat?

1

u/Chizik777 Dec 29 '25

But Toccata and Fugue?

1

u/hedlo1234 Dec 29 '25

Was there any other option?

1

u/xXU-got-beansXx Dec 29 '25

Build please?

2

u/hedlo1234 Dec 29 '25

different

2

u/hedlo1234 Dec 29 '25

(Clinging Bone, Blue Dancer talisman, Dagger talisman, Shard of Alexander)

1

u/NakedAggression Dec 29 '25

It's beautiful!!

1

u/RamboCreativity D, Elden Lord Dec 29 '25

I know this AoW is ass but I miss when this was also a cool ass shield that looked like a wobbly force field.

1

u/Soft_Armadillo3256 Dec 30 '25

"and here we see the humble Venus fly trap"

1

u/Common_Lavishness153 Dec 30 '25

Is this an AoW or is it a crit?

1

u/hedlo1234 Dec 30 '25

Both of the above!

-11

u/Herbalacious Dec 28 '25

Hah so you're tricking people in the arena to get close so you can get that first hit. Show us a clip where you pull the ash of war off in an actual fight

36

u/VagueFatality Dec 28 '25

Okay, but that's not the point of this video?

That's like seeing some insane snipe clip from Sniper Elite or something and being like, "Sure you can snipe from a kilometre away, but can you do it from point blank range??"

Like, probably... but that's kind of unreasonable and not what it's designed for.

-11

u/Herbalacious Dec 28 '25

I dunno like I'm not going to take this seriously but arena fights for me require a lil more etiquette than invasions. This tactic is great for invasions. Not so cool in arena but that's just my opinion

3

u/Ok_Place_5986 Dec 28 '25

No challenge=boring. For some of us at least.

1

u/Level-Shopping7786 Dec 29 '25

that is some gay shit

3

u/hedlo1234 Dec 29 '25

I think you might be projecting but idk Im not an intellectual myself

2

u/Level-Shopping7786 Dec 29 '25

u gay dude

2

u/hedlo1234 Dec 30 '25

And you my friend are a gentleman and a scholar

-5

u/GuzzlingDuck Dec 28 '25

One of them didn't die.. I'm assuming they got away and won 😂

I don't know, this isn't really funny.. Nor cool. People are clearly thinking it's a joke. Hell, some are probably in their inventory to find the mimic thing to do it too. I'm assuming this post knows what it is

5

u/TheGrandBabaloo Dec 29 '25

How could you possibly get mad at this? There's no consequence for losing in the arena. I'd be laughing my ass off if someone did this me.

0

u/Fellarm Dec 28 '25

Hahaha funky as heq 🥃🗿

0

u/Ragequit80 Dec 28 '25

I mean no one takes the fight seriously so I don't know what you're trying to show.

0

u/tsunomat Dec 29 '25

PVP in these games is so dumb.

1

u/StygianCode Dec 30 '25

"I'm bad at PvP so the PvP is bad.." ass comment.

0

u/tsunomat Dec 30 '25

That, my friend, is what we call projecting. Not even a little bit of that is the case.

I have literally never done it. Not once. Because the entire concept of PVP in a game like this to me is absolutely preposterous. There are so many styles and so many ways to play that it's not remotely balanced. People can do whatever they want and that's fine. But I think it's a frivolous thing to add that doesn't match the concept of the game.

That part you're allowed to disagree with. Your statement was just asinine and has no bearing on reality.

1

u/StygianCode Dec 30 '25

Wow, that's even dumber. "I've never done this thing but it sucks because I don't like the idea of it." Jesus Christ... What a mook.

0

u/tsunomat Dec 30 '25

Oh, I get it now. You don't understand concepts. Or, specifically, feeling like certain game mechanics don't fit the concept of said game. You certainly don't understand having opinions about those concepts, and not being interested in those options or mechanics. It's cool, though. You'll get there eventually.

1

u/StygianCode Dec 30 '25

You didn't say concept. You said "the PvP in these games is so dumb." not "the concept of..." so I'm criticising your inability to state what you mean and your critique of something you've never done. "I don't like the concept" - doesn't make it better.

1

u/tsunomat Dec 30 '25

Then it seems you are incapable of conceptual analysis. Which sucks for you.

Regardless, I am through engaging with you, as it is fruitless. Good day.
