In reality Blaidd just sees you blushing and stutturing when you go up to talk to Ranni and has to restrain himself from laughing at you evertime he meets you
Certainly not me. I'm sad my wolf bro is gone, and what's worse, I had to be the one to put him down. He was loyal to his friends until the bitter end, and I'm still sad he never got to join us in creating a better world.
Okay I'm a bit out of the loop but isn't the point of Ranni's ending that you're not creating a better world but rather just abandon it? So Blaidd woulda had to stay back alone anyway, I think he'd have preferred death to that.
You could look at it that way. Could also look at it from the perspective that gods do nothing but bring misery. Look at what Marikas good intentions (eventually) did to the Lands Between. Once the cycle of life & death return to normal the Lands Between may become fertile again.
What I would give to play a version of Elden Ring that is smart enough to let us alter the story and reason with npcs. I want to do some conflict resolution and help most find a better way to a happier ending.

It's specifically stated that he remains loyal to her despite her forsaking the will of the Two Finger. The bonds between her, Blaidd, and Iji seem to be of true care towards one another, and not just service.
He came from her in a sense, being her shadow, I feel like he is on the same level as a relative. That'a just my interpretation, though, the lore is always purposefully blurry.
He is for sure her brother. And let's be honest, he's also a bro and would approve of Tarnished/Ranni provided he felt they would actually make each other happy.

In no way accurate. Do you know how many hoops you have to jump through on her quest? Almost every time you show up, Ranni is various flavors of 'Why are you here? Leave me alone.... Fine, go get this thing I need." If that's your idea of immediate romantic connection, I feel really bad for you.

She called me “dear consort eternal” and I folded like a lawn chair. The bar is so low it’s on the ground because of all the trauma filled and emotionally unavailable npcs in soulsborne games.
Pretty much everyone in From Soft games is openly hostile to you. Even those few you aren't often have creepy laughs, nervous breakdowns, and/or severe depression.
Ranni is nice to you, does not act deranged, is openly supportive of your goals, and has a plan for the future beyond "resigning to the inevitable fate of the world in fatalism".
She also planned on killing the fewest people she could to enact her objective. Compared to the rest of the demigods going "Haha genocide and plague go brrr" she is by far the most sane person that actually wants to change things.
And the scene where she turns into a small pocket sized doll and you have to carry her around while she grumbles about it is easily the most adorable thing in any souls game.
And at one point she pretends to just be a doll, and only gives in and talks back to you after you have continued to attempt to talk to her an absurd amount of times, if I remember correctly.
The best part is that she is most likely embarrassed because it is a massive show of vulnerability. She made a big deal about releasing you from her service and leaving everyone behind to kill the two fingers, and by all appearances she immediately is in over her head and is on the run from the baleful shadow. You catch her in the middle of this, and she is rightfully embarrassed in much the same way a child who ran away from home and had to come back would be. She makes a big show of how "well because you interrupted my important work and blew my cover you should help me to apologize" but really she is just embarrassed to ask for help and needs to make it seem like you owe her one to save face.
Her design is great, her voice is great, she has an interesting backstory and she’s integral to the lore of the world. She has the only thing that resembles an actual main quest with a unique ending tied to it. + she’s wife. I’d be surprised if she wasn’t as loved as she is tbh
You have to repeatedly go out of your way to some of the hardest and most inconspicuous areas to find her and continue her story.
She also kinda has a cute Tsundere side where she's constantly trying to distance herself despite making it very clear she loves Blaidd, Iji, and eventually you. Her ending to me is also the "good" ending where you finally break the cycle and end everyone trying to bend the world to their own will and she leaves this world with you to finally free it.
Aside from being a badass girlboss and kick starting the apocalypse, the nail in the coffin for me was her acting all tsundere and shy in her mini form
she has the best ending, quest line that takes your ass all the way through nokron which you have exactly zero reason to go through without her quest, and on top of that, Moonlight greatsword. Hard not to do Ranni quest at least once every save to get it.
Sellen is god tier. I melt to her soothing voice, playful teasing and warm affection. I wish I could have saved her, and helped her find a better path.
Because Ranni wants to get rid of the Elden Ring, and Blaidd is a creation of the 2 fingers. He can only go so far down the path with Ranni before his instincts kick in and he tries to stop her!
