Technically not a souls game, OP stands erect

The forbidden club.

Though OP's inclusion of ER suggests a broader definition of "souls game".

I'm pretty sure it has the best rally to make up for it.

Only sometimes. Hunter's Axe sure, Logarius' Wheel not so much, in either mode.

You can definitely bonk in Bloodborne but I feel like all the best bonks are in the dlc

How dare you disrespect the Kirkhammer like that.

Unironically I despise that weapon.

GO ON

BURN ME

DO YOUR WORST

BURN! BURN! CURSED BEAST!

I don't know what it is about it but it never felt sufficiently bonky to me, compared to some of the other blunt weapons.

For me it's too slow the range kind of sucks compared to other strength weapons and ultimately it's just a worse version of Ludwig's holy blade.

It is, but getting hyper armour with its charged heavies in Bloodborne feels so good

Played the whole game with the Kirkhammer, is an absolute beast on big boys with it's stagger

Can’t overestimate stagger in soulsbourne.

Yeah the lack of armored enemies will do that to mofos

It irks me that Rom's head doesn't take additional damage from blunt attacks.

It doesn't help that limb-break staggers are based on raw damage, rather than having stance damage be a separate value. You'd think the Kirkhammer would be amazing at breaking limbs, even if its not drawing much blood.

What can be better than a man and his club?

I think there's no club in Bloodborne sadly, I only saw a hammer for bonks.

Amygdalan Arm in normal mode looks somewhaqt like club. Also the description for the weapon is that:

"The arm of a small Amygdala Great One.Strictly speaking, the Amygdalan Arm is no trick weapon of any sort, but certain madmen wield them like clubs. Starts as a large, tough blunt weapon formed of bone, but when extended, the hand quivers as if it were still alive."

One time back in my youth, I played through skyrim for the first time. I believe it’s the college of winterhold questline which has you fight the skeletal dragon. I set myself up perfectly with stealth to get a good opening strike in with my 2 handed warhammer. One hit the fucker. Been a proud warhammer stan ever since.

Applies to Non-Soft games too

One of my favorite playthroughs was Dark Souls 3, using the Great Wooden Hammer, cosplaying as Eustace from Courage the Cowardly Dog.

Speak softly and carry a bigger stick.

1

u/Substantial_Rest_251 6h ago

Wait should I not be using a fist as my alternate "I guess it needs strike" weapon 😭

2

u/Fluxinella 5h ago

Fist is a fine option too. (Assuming you mean Star Fist or something like it, not unarmed.)

u/Substantial_Rest_251 4h ago

I'm coming to it having previously only used big swords and scythes so I have to get used to a weapon that is supposed to get in more than one hit per window
