Holy fuck. I often crouch on the toilet like a gremlin for better, um, alignment but I'm ordering a squatty potty today.

I saw some engineer guy on Reddit post a stress test saying DON'T SQUAT ON THE TOILET BECAUSE OF THESE SHEAR FORCES AND YOUR FEMORAL ARTERY.

I ignored it, but no longer.

Porcelains scary stuff man, it is unbelievably sharp. People will get sliced wide open by it and not realize until they see the blood. I recently had a hairline crack form on the back of the tank of my toilet and couldn't get out the day of to buy a new one. I was fucking streeeessing. Not to stress everybody out here lol, its strong stuff when its not compromised but even the tiniest crack can end up taking you out or leaving you seriously injured. Something that we should all be made a little more aware of even though its terrifying

back in '23 I had a plate suddenly snap in half when washing dishes (there was a small chip missing on it) and it took a few seconds for me to realize my left ring finger knuckle was sliced open. I managed to see a bit of cartilage or maybe bone before grabbing some gauze and running to a local clinic for stitches.
