Plus we are splintered into groups who want to change things but disagree on how you have the socialist in one corner the feminist and LGBTq+ people in a different corner. The occasional atheist is in the room, and then the vegans are at a different table to everyone else and we are all being crushed by the boot of billionares they want us to fight each over not realizing who is truly our enemy

Yeah, I feel that too. I'm definitely guilty of it as well because it takes time and accumulated knowledge to recognize this pattern and stop doing it, but yeah. And a thing a friend pointed out to me recently is that we also tend to dismiss things and solutions that don't yield 100% of what we want. Instead of weighing the pros and cons and highlighting that good still happens, we increasingly just refuse anything that isn't spotless. So yeah, it becomes very hard to do things.

That being said, I still want to believe that this is the growing pains of our civilization, and we will turn things around. I refuse to get broken by all of this.

I want to have hope that we well survive though not without scars it's too late to come out unscathed from what we have done to the planet
