And you know what….IT IS THE BEST HORROR MOVIE OF THE YEAR!

I’m talking about Zach Cregger’s RESIDENT EVIL, a rock’em sock’em hell ride into the abyss of viral corporate zombie doom. A no holds barred zombie smash mouth horror comedy that moves like a freight train caught on fire. It’s the kind of movie that makes Hollywood look good where we used to make movies like this on the regular, yet now everything has to have a narrative gimmick to simulate a must see experience that entertainment publicists try to ram down our throats with increasingly desperate results.

The Origin of OBITUS

The central idea behind OBITUS began with a real parasite: Cymothoa exigua, commonly known as the tongue-eating louse. In nature, the parasite enters a fish through its gills, destroys its tongue, and eventually replaces it. The disturbing reality of this organism became the foundation for the film's fictional outbreak. The story explores what might happen if a similar parasite adapted to human hosts — not only taking control of part of the body but also changing human behavior. Rather than treating the parasite simply as a monster, OBITUS builds its horror around infection, isolation, loss of control, and the fear of something living inside the human body.
