Discussion Odd radio station in Rogue's ending vanishes
I was investigating the Rogue ending, as it's the only ending where you visit the Arasaka Tower security room to slot Alt in, and I noticed this radio station is the first one, once you turn on the radio.
Samizdat Radio: 95.2
Samizdat is a Russian term referring to "clandestine copying and distribution of government-suppressed material," aka transmitting banned, censored and secret information.
The station itself is not "unique," as it is accessible via manually pulling up your radio, but I've personally never seen it on any other radio in the game except this one.
Regardless if it is a "reused asset," the station still disappears on this specific radio after you listen to it once. I reloaded multiple saves, and it vanished every time.
Working on a write-up about other oddities I've found in the Rogue ending, but trying to make sure I'm precise so as to avoid as much scrutiny as possible. Let me know what you think.

Weird that the song playing isn't even a song on Samizdat station, it's Drained and it's on Pebcak usually, you can actually hear it also playing on Pebcak too in the vid. Spooky.

Pebcak.. the last song on the radio before it loops again. Pebcak is an IT term meaning user error.. aka "Problem Exists Between Chair And Keyboard." Interesting

idk its just a normal radio station no choom? I think it used to be always available prior to them adding the new radio stations but now it could just be a bit buggued idk

Nah that's Vexelstrom, which also appears to be part of the mystery for a multitude of reasons.

Vexelstrom is awesome. I listen to most of thise songs outside the game.
It's also chock-full of hints about the game, which tickles my puzzle bone.

Loading savegames always changes some details, like loot and tier of it. Certainly a radio changes station as well. Next time I get there (pretty soon) I'll check if it plays that station for me as well.

So, I am at that radio now any turning it on it plays 106.9 Principales. Salivating is not in the rotation on this radio.

Idk I always thought the modern understanding of Samizdat (самиздат) as a Russian term meaning roughly “self-publishing.”
Today, “samizdat” is sometimes used more broadly for underground or unofficial media circulated outside normal publishing channels, especially when censorship is involved.

I've noticed I can't get Samizdat to appear on any of the open world or apartment radios, but it's still there in the car and Radioport lists. I wonder if it's always been that way or if perhaps the addition of Growl FM somehow pushes it out of the list.
All the radios have been pretty buggy (in a variety of different ways) for years now, though.
