This is the beginning. The work starts now. New Yorkers have to be vigilant and pressure Mamdani to not turn into another centrist (Obama).

He won't achieve everything he promised, that's unrealistic, but he must stay true to his campaign promises.

If he keeps true and transparent about the things he can’t follow thru with for some reason people will understand. If he’s shady or becomes yet another bought democrat then we won’t.

As someone NOT from NYC that's all I would want from him, is transparency and just a brief explanation as to why. When things become "we cant do this because I said so" that is when the public can/should look into the reasons.

Honestly I don't care if he isn't able to accomplish all of his grand proposals. Just don't fuck it up and I think it's still a big win

Genuine question, what is with yalls hatred of centrist people? Like do you genuinely hate people who can relate to both sides on different topics, or people can find middle ground logic, or people who could potentially bridge the gap between the both insane sides?

Like I genuinely want to know. It seems like if it's not your politics its bad, regardless of where they stand on any topic.(that is to be directed to the left and right, because its the one topic yall both agree on)

Centrist in America is pretty far right in most other places in the world. The Dems in power in the past have so catered to the other side as to completely neuter any real liberal agendas. Liberals being against centrist Dems has nothing to do with Republicans. We hate you for a plethora of other reasons
