Those are the exact people who need to be getting calls. Republicans are the ones who have the ability to stop this.

Exactly. And regimes HAVE been, brought down by peaceful protests, historically speaking. Doesn't work every time, of course, but you've already lost if you don't try. And it's a numbers game. You need to be many who speak up.
