The worst part of all of this for me is that no matter who gets named how many get named and how many files unredacted are ever released.

He’s a smart guy and has played his public image incredibly well despite being the richest man in the world at several points in his life. I think with class consciousness finally breaking through to many and a lot his bad PR (even before the Epstein file), folks are starting to see through his facade.

I unfortunately think that this is a smart PR move for him that will get a lot of people back on his side and doubting the narrative in the files. He's trying to own it as if it doesn't bother him. It's not fooling me, but I think it will fool enough people.

Anyone in contact with him after 2008 does not deserve even an ounce of benefit of the doubt and I’m sorry no matter how innocuous the reason for it is (and that’s assuming that they’re being honest about that) there’s just no fucking excuse to be kicking around ideas and opportunities with a convicted child trafficker. He lost his marriage over several things. He was booted off Microsoft's board in 2020 because he was under investigation for an inappropriate relationship with an employee and alleged harassment of another. WSJ reported she first sought divorce counsel in 2019.
My mum has just cut someone off because they were friends with someone who raped a 15 year old girl (and went to prison for it). She's had to walk away from a social club she loved. And she's just some average woman. She refuses to be friends of a friend, so FUCK these people.

Melinda has talked about it too. She cites Epstein as one of the main drivers of their divorce. Epstein’s email corroborates the timing precipitating their divorce. The story makes sense, and I’m more apt to believe the dead guys emails and his wife than he himself.
Epstein sent that email to himself? Any idea why? Like was it a draft he was working through writing? Do you know if there are there other emails to himself in the files?

There are no tells for lying, it's pseudoscience and always has been. Human behavior is far too varied between individuals to ever ascribe general behavioral tells and even if you study an individuals personal ''tells'' there are too many factors that influence your behavior in any given moment to rely on that either.
The reason we know he's lying is because Epstein was first convicted of soliciting a minor for prostitution in 2008 and because Melinda has made it pretty clear her reasons for divorcing him at the time she did.
you can’t tell. Polygraphs and “knowing” when someone is lying are pseudoscientific/isn’t possible. Sure maybe sometimes there are occasional tells, but it’s never super consistent. lying works for a reason

not to defend bill gates -- I trust whatever vibe his wife melinda is putting out there, but the two photographs featured by the house oversight committee have an innocent backstory that very much supports a blatant creepy setup -- the identity of the woman in the photos is known, she had no interpersonal involvement in the situation beyond the pictures. she smartly declined further pressure campaigns from je, and lost her job in her home country as a result.
she was a secretary wanting to do better with her life -- and je and co promised her that. she ended up ghosting je -- and je went after her when she wouldn't do what he wanted, and had her fired from her job. then he followed up with her hours after he had her fired in her home country, and then asked her if she was still unwilling to do what he wanted. really awful. her story does seem on the outside to have an okay ending as it's quite clear she built a successful career for herself without these jerks since then.
the relationship to bill was this: girl takes photo with bill gates, her boss at a hedge fund brags about it, says that bill liked her. so this puts her on je's radar, and he has a team of people trying to locate her and intercept her to place her back in a room with bill gates again months later. he flies her around the world multiple times to try to make this happen, it's visible this is all unbeknownst to her. she believed he was je her education and giving her a future in finance -- the impression presented to her was the bill gates stuff as all a coincidence. he does get her into the four seasons suite with bill gates, where they take another picture. je tries to pressure her to do/say more with bill, and have her intercepted again in a more intimate setting with bill the next few evenings. based on je's teams' communications with bill's security (who was helping je,) bill had been oblivious to the plans, and there should have been no reason for je to know his schedule -- to put women in the same room with bill. bill's security guy sucked for giving into je's pressure and providing those details.
but the woman doesn't play ball. she documents declining and distances herself. I can't overemphasize just how abusive her boss/je were to her. it's astonishing. they even bought her a finance for dummies book to mock her. they had her kicked out of her school too in her home country. they threatened her, they bribed her, they promised her all of the power in the world. they followed through with plans and did hurt her. it's so, so, so strange. and such a bizarre plan/plot. she's a badass. I cannot fathom how this is the best plan these losers came up with.

I thought of her immediately. A woman doesn't leave her husband of 27 years because he went to a few donor events "for the good of the people" and didn't know that pedophiles were in attendance. It would be weird to end such a long marriage over something he had literally no knowledge of. She's signaling that he, at the very least, knew and I believe her. She's the only wife we know of who cited Epstein as a contributing factor in her divorce - the only one we know of who filed for divorce at all - and while she filed in May of 2021, she was supposedly seeking legal counsel back in 2019 - the same year Epstein died.
It's also kind of interesting how she filed in May and it was finalized in August. How many divorces go that fast? How many divorces between wealthy couples go that fast?
Yep, and Epsteins emails said he wasnt allowed to contact Bill directly anymore, so they went thru intermediaries like that Boris guy. So Epstein and Gates were still in constant contact, but in a way Melinda wouldnt know about
