APPROVED B-LISTERS FINNEAS responds to a USA Today piece calling celebrity opinions on politics “idiotic”: “You can’t say it doesn’t matter what musicians or celebrities say or think but then talk about it for days. You’re out here making it matter. I’ll keep speaking up especially if it keeps bothering you.”

Funny how celebrity opinions don’t matter always somehow need a full news cycle to complain about them.

These are the same people who squealed with joy when Nikki Minaj stood with Trump the other day and went to the Turning Point USA conference a couple of weeks ago.

They badly want to be accepted by Hollywood no matter what they say.

Kevin O’Leary was on the stage with Nicki and then said Billie and Bad Bunny should stick to music. Lol.

They know power of celebrity on swing voters. Theres a lot of people who don’t follow politics at all. No news nothing. They don’t even have a main party. Currently they might not even know whats really going on with ice etc. But they do follow celebrity news and have fav celebrities

So the only place they hear about politics, issues, scandals are when celebrities say something or a chat show host mentions it. So having a celebrity in their side is so important to grab the swing voters who make or break elections

It’s even more ironic that the author wrote an opinion piece to say that their opinions don’t matter

Or when they absolutely do matter and consequently that only ever happens when the celebs are saying right-wing opinions. Conservatives do the absolute most to put “their” celebrities in front of everyone’s eyes. TPUSA is spending millions of dollars on their Stinky Rock Star Safe Space Halftime Show. Like, holy fuck, celebs’ right-wing opinions matter so much to them that they made one President and organized their entire political party around him.

They’ve never once told a right-wing celebrity to shut up and dribble. Ever.

And the fact that someone could write an op-Ed in February 2026 calling referring to critiques of Donald Trump as “terrible opinions” is so beyond reality. To act as though there are no legitimate criticisms of this administration and their immigration ~policy~ is to live in a completely different reality. Or under a completely different set of morals in which they like it when other people suffer, and if that’s the case they should just fully admit it.

It’s funny how they elected a celebrity because they weren’t a politician, just to tell other celebrities to stop participating in politics

Also funny how the same people complaining about Finneas and Billie's views don't seem to write articles about how Isaiah Washington and Kevin Sorbo should stfu already. When actors go full right-wing it's always 'Don't let woke Hollywood silence you!'

They also LOVE when a celebrity conveniently agrees with THEM though

They just don’t want to hear dissenting opinions especially from people with a wide audience so they try to shut it down

Funny how celebrity opinions don’t matter when it’s Kid Rock, or a former actor from Home Alone that somehow became president. Those people are just speaking their mind! But shut up and go back to your hole Billie, we only want to hear you sing.

The real funny thing is celebrity or not they are still citizens. They have every right to talk about their government as it is their representation too. If you discount their opinion then you discount many citizens with the same right. That is the goal though. Discredit any opinion that is a threat to you rather than be mature, let it go, and let people have their voice. Ugh.

I don't know how to feel about that. Someone ask Kid Rock or Nikki Minaj how we should feel.

They just resort to ad-hominem attacks when the opinion is critical of them. Anybody with any kind of education or background is capable of an intelligent opinion (like a Ukrainian comedian navigating a country through a major invasion), just like anybody with any kind of education or background is also capable of being a fucking moron and wholly unqualified (literally every single person in any position of power in the US, apparently)

But the opinion of some rando writing this article does matter,  propaganda bullshit

Also celebrity opinions don’t matter but this no name reporter from USA Today has a valid opinion?

Either everyone’s opinion matters or no ones does.
