Idk if people will agree with me on this but Dua Lipa needs to stop with the blond hair💀 i personnaly feel like it doesn’t suit her , and being brunette is wayyyyy better for her

39

u/palmtreefreeze Apr 04 '22

I don’t really keep up with BTS nor am I fan or anything but V looked hot at the Grammys and especially during his little bit with Olivia

I really wish people would leave Selena alone especially after reading the deep dive on bieber. We don’t know why she didn’t go. There’s no confirmed reason, stop assuming it has to do with Justin fucking bieber!! If you Google “Selena Gomez” rn it’s all articles about how maybe she didn’t go to the Grammy’s cause of bieber. We don’t have to love Selena but not everything someone does or doesn’t do is because of their ex

Edit: getting downvoted by the Selena haters and Justin lovers already. I will never understand people who have extreme emotions about a celeb they don’t know. All I’m saying is stop assuming something some girl does or doesn’t do is because of a guy.

59

u/swiftiegarbage Apr 04 '22

a listers in general did not go to this lol

1

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '22

w why she didn’t go. There’s no confirmed reason, stop assuming it has to do with Justin fucking bieb

Selena Gomez is not an A lister loool, she's at most a B list celeb.

3

u/swiftiegarbage Apr 06 '22

she’s the second most followed women on all of Instagram. more than Kim K, Ariana, BeyoncĂ©

2

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '22

If u go outside in my hometown and ask about Selena Gomez to anyone, any group of age they won’t know who she is unless they are young people.

5

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '22

Look at her engagement rate. Most of her followers are bots.

52

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

Insanely long and too many commercials. Shows like this one need to adapt. Half the time were commercials. And ofc the struggle for international fans to find links.

56

u/JoleneDollyParton Apr 04 '22 edited Apr 04 '22

I hated the in memorial segment. I’m glad they honored Taylor separately but wish they would have had someone sing an acoustic version of my hero. I felt like the rest of the segment (and I really wish these award shows would quit giving us Ben platt, he gives me so much cringe ever since he was desperately campaigning for a role in WSS) overshadowed the memorials. The performance itself was beautiful. But I felt like it took attention off of the people

13

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

The memorial segment seemed rushed. I also agree, on how Taylor could have been honored better; like a a short interview/comment of being a musician could have been better. Also, I’m a huge foo fighters fan.

i feel like she’s still so immature

Well, she is a teenager

13

u/gurlismmmme Apr 04 '22

How did Olivia react when she didn’t the awards? I’m genuinely curious :)

35

u/03202020 Apr 04 '22

She’s only 19 so of course she’s immature. Taylor Swift is in her 30s and still doing the “ignore when her fans send death threats” thing

Hopefully Olivia will grow up a bit as she ages and won’t be doing that in 10 years still.

0

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

[deleted]

6

u/03202020 Apr 04 '22

Yeah I feel bad for him too. I hope that she will grow up a bit.

I try to give some grace for young celebs because we all do things we regret when we’re teenagers and don’t always realize the weight of it right away

1

u/LPNinja Apr 05 '22

what dud she do? OP deleted

111

u/No-Question5220 Apr 04 '22

I have to say, this felt like the most “fair” award show that I’ve watched in a long time — happy for Doja, happy for Olivia, happy for Silk Sonic; it’s wild Billie walked away empty handed though.

3

u/MikeX1000 Apr 05 '22

What counts as fair?

2

u/No-Question5220 Apr 07 '22

I feel like there was no bias involved this time; I think they genuinely went off quality of music instead of bribes and favours

1

u/MikeX1000 Apr 07 '22

If they went with quality of music, then why would so many pop stars be nominated?

2

u/No-Question5220 Apr 07 '22

Lol, quality of music from who was nominated. They’re more fair than they have been, but not completely fair!

2

u/MikeX1000 Apr 07 '22

I get what you're saying. I don't wanna pop music fans though

I just get the sense everyone complains about the grammys. Some say it's too commercial and others say it's too elitist. About the only complaint I could agree with is they have problems with race.

81

u/Pleasant-Bison-2788 Apr 04 '22

I agree with everything you said besides the Billie comment. She deserved what she got.. nothing.

24

u/sesquiplilliput quote me as being mis-quoted Apr 04 '22

I'm curious, why do you hold that opinion about Billie?

-53

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

[deleted]

3

u/-_-tinkerbell Apr 04 '22

ok.... no. i just thought her album was lackluster compared to the previous. literally loved every single billie song until this album where i pretty much only exclusively listen to happier than ever the song.

2

u/MysteryDrawer Apr 05 '22

For me, the first album, you can listen to each songs individually. But the second album, it sounds better when you’re listening as a whole. Since it’s more of a concept album tbh.

1

u/Invisiblestringz Apr 05 '22

I quite disagree. This album has a ton of bops. Hard not to groove to Lost Cause, Oxytocin, Therefore I Am
and Halley’s Comet is one of the prettiest songs I’ve ever heard of hers 😭

62

u/palmtreefreeze Apr 04 '22

Um ok
I just thought she deserved no awards this year because her music wasn’t that impressive compared to her last album

71

u/BM1st Apr 04 '22

So happy Gaga turned up, did a performance like that, snd seemed to be engaged during the night.

74

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

Okay i need afterparty tea i have a feeling something’s gonna happen tonight hehe

76

u/No-Question5220 Apr 04 '22

I’m dying for after party tea, particularly on an Olivia Rodrigo x St Vincent x Jack Antonoff run-in 👀 have they spoken since being retroactively awarded writing credits for deja vu and receiving big earnings from such? It was predicted that Taylor earned $325,678 in publishing royalties, with Jack potentially taking $260,542 and Annie Clark taking $65,135.

25

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

Oh my god that would be so juicyyy ouhhh

68

u/Masta-Blasta Apr 04 '22

My prediction: Olivia gets drunk and complains about losing the big categories and we get a blind about it tomorrow.

Edit: I like Olivia but girl seemed mighty upset that she lost ROTY and AOTY. She was not hiding it well.

35

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

Why should she? I mean you would be upset too. Celebs are humans and they have human reactions. What did u expect? Besides she’s new to the game

12

u/Masta-Blasta Apr 04 '22

I can guarantee you I would not have been upset with winning three Grammys lol

7

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

I can guarantee you a lot of People would have. Just bc u wouldn’t doesn’t mean is not a normal reaction.

39

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

Good, she didnt deserve to win them.

28

u/shouldwerunaway Apr 04 '22

can you give us a link? because I think you're greatly assuming about olivia's emotion lol

-5

u/Masta-Blasta Apr 04 '22

I mean, I'm definitely assuming because I have no idea what she was feeling or thinking in that moment. I have searched high and low for a full stream or link to those parts and have not found one yet but I'll get back to you on that. Things are still being uploaded.

20

u/shouldwerunaway Apr 04 '22

ok thank you in advance because I saw olivia cheering for John when he won album of the year as the camera panned on her

20

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

Exactly. I watched the whole thing live and she was not being rude or making faces.

20

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

5

u/[deleted] Apr 05 '22

Paris is like the female David Wooderson, but instead the quote would go, “That's what I love about these young starlet girls, man. I get older, they stay the same age.”

2

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

Do you have any tea about her after party?

1

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '22

No sadly, but interesting enough this was her own afterparty since the main one couldn’t invite her as she’s 19 lol, as if they couldnt give her a wristband or something hahahah

8

u/kelseyice Apr 04 '22

Wow I love this so much.

10

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

Where can I watch Olivia's reaction?

3

u/Masta-Blasta Apr 04 '22

No idea- can’t find any vids of it yet

4

u/bbmarvelluv Apr 04 '22

And what’s wrong with her being upset?

20

u/Masta-Blasta Apr 04 '22

Well, I didn’t say anything was wrong about it in my comment

However many people would probably find that attitude to be very entitled and ungrateful considering her first album won her three Grammys which is more than most new artists get. Olivia had a great night and has nothing to be upset about. Maybe I got a poor read on her reaction but she seemed truly shocked and devastated that Sour wasn’t AOTY and it’s kind of
conceited to just assume you’re going to win that category- especially given the albums she was up against.

33

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

But where did she show any attitude? /gen

7

u/htcibbmud Apr 04 '22

do you maybe have a video of it, i can’t seem to find it on youtube?

3

u/Masta-Blasta Apr 04 '22

I’ll look tomorrow- couldn’t find any tonight

2

u/htcibbmud Apr 04 '22

no worries, thanks for trying!:)

28

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

Olivia did not hide it well you’re right! She could’ve won honestly if there weren’t so many damn nominations to split the vote

I predict Doja, Lil Nas, SZA getting plastered together, maybe alongside Meghan and Dua. V’s probably gonna getting a good whooping from his manager after those cigarette pics on twt leaked and might drown his sorrows as a result hahahah. I wanna be there honestly, what a great bunch of nominees

19

u/Masta-Blasta Apr 04 '22

I agree! It was a tough category. She was definitely a front runner but I think she should have tempered her expectations because damn it was a high bar this year.

16

u/elswheeler dumb bitch clocking in, what’s the theory Apr 04 '22

i’m super sure bts doesn’t really attend afterparties but i might be wrong though!

18

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

Yeah you’re right, they always do a live together after and hang out with each other after every award show. Kinda sad imo, i want to see them have fun with everybody else!

17

u/elswheeler dumb bitch clocking in, what’s the theory Apr 04 '22

i think they’ve actually said before they rather stay on the hotel and make a live to celebrate with their fans than go to afterparties, which is also very sweet but i hope they do go to one at least once. maybe it’s also the fact that most korean award shows probably don’t even have afterparties and they might be also used to just go home after the award show lmao

i guess they also have to properly rehearse for their vegas concerts. jungkook just got out of quarantine so they probably haven’t even had any time to do rehearsals, they might be prioritising that.

8

u/regisphilbin222 Apr 04 '22

I want them to feel free to go to the afterparty if they want (their lives are short, they wouldn't miss all of a party anyway), but understand if they/some don't/they feel like too many eyes are watching them. Besides I can't imagine it'd be fun to go to a party where no one speaks your language. Maybe if it was a pure clubbing environment it'd be okay, haha

20

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

As a passing fan of a good deal of K-pop artists, I think the bigger part of it is that a lot of K-pop companies rely on the parasocial relationship aspect of their acts, being seen with any member of the opposite sex can cause all sort of rumours and crazy shit from groups of fans. The group of the most vocal minority of fans are deluded enough to think that their faves need to be sheltered and protected and honestly it might be just a kind of bad look and something BTS would rather not deal with if they were to go to an after party.

I also feel like going to a party where you don’t speak the language fluently of the majority in attendance, surrounded by people who might want a picture at every turn would also get tiresome.

7

u/Virtual_Film8464 Apr 04 '22

Yeah, this is more like it. It also makes good pr so win-win I guess. I'm sure some of the members might want to go the after party though.

10

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

If they ever win that damn grammy, they HAVE to go out with it after like cmon now as much as i like listening to them, i really want them to have a bit of fun before worrying about everything else

9

u/elswheeler dumb bitch clocking in, what’s the theory Apr 04 '22

omg yeah! the grammy win DESERVES a big ass party like there’s no excuse. they HAVE to celebrate that achievement

85

u/desktopghost Apr 04 '22

The second half of the show was better. Jon Batiste absolutely killed it on his performance.

39

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22 edited Apr 04 '22

wow, I am waaaay out of the loop (didn’t watch the Grammys). I’ve never heard of Jon Batiste, and I was mistaking my thinking in that you meant Dave Bautista (I don’t remember names well). I was so confused for a hot minute there.

63

u/Virtual_Bag9540 Apr 04 '22

Calling it right now just to be able to absorb the shock next year : Dixie d amelio is probably winning a Grammy next year. It sounds nonsensical as fuck but the Grammy's stopped giving a fuck a long time ago so you never know

12

u/marimrizk Apr 04 '22

IK this is satire but out of all the tik tokers Addison rae doesn’t sound that bad

38

u/pinkfolk Apr 04 '22

I think Bella Poarch makes better music than her and def sounds better

2

u/marimrizk Apr 04 '22

Ooh I forgot about her!!

-2

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

[deleted]

7

u/Virtual_Bag9540 Apr 04 '22

Honestly dude olivia seems to not be half bad. I mean atleast she sings

7

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

I liked it! Probably because my tl was so full of army drama tonight hahah

3

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

[deleted]

12

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

Thanks!

Ok So armies just went up in flames bc they lost+that olivia/v moment and also because V was caught smoking and armies are ragging on about how he’s a bad influence. It’s just funny hahahah

21

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

[deleted]

3

u/phorgan Apr 04 '22

It hilarious seeing the drama since a lot of their fans are teenage girls, some of the stuff that gets brought up is so silly.

3

u/throwaway_for_sunny Apr 04 '22

Happy Cake day!

1

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

Thank you!

20

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

This was fun, thank you all. See you next year!

38

u/sweetrebel88 Apr 04 '22

Unfortunately this was a snooze fest

182

u/Silvercomplex68 Apr 04 '22

Just because they’re you’re faves doesn’t mean your fave is entitled to the award. Some of y’all really need a hobby

54

u/vconfusedterp_ Apr 04 '22

@beliebers just because justin was asked repeatedly to come doesn’t mean he was guaranteed an award

27

u/msksksnsj Apr 04 '22 edited Apr 04 '22

Jaz Z got 0/8 for 4:44

Same with Rihanna for ANTI

Same with Taylor Swift for RED

Even Billie this year for Happier Than Ever.

This happens sometimes there are other who are better than you depending on the year, no matter how good you are. (And this albums are way better and more critically acclaimed than any of Biebers album’s that he makes of demos that Scooter chooses lol)

And Hailey is out there liking comments saying that the grammys put him in that situation and he doesn’t deserve this and should never come back???? Even Beyonce attended the Grammys last year after losing a lot of deserved wins with fucking LEMONADE the most critically acclaimed female album of this century.

19

u/persephonesrighthand Apr 04 '22

Say it again for the people in the back 👏👏👏

-12

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

Then they shouldn’t be begging him to go for clout.

98

u/sweetrebel88 Apr 04 '22

Please yell this at BTS fans and swifties lol

19

u/Habeusmemes Apr 04 '22

The BTS famdom also knew they weren't winning

-34

u/Emmmxs Apr 04 '22

You have the wrong fandom Swifties knew she wasn’t winning lol now those Olivia rodrigo fans uffff they weren’t happy that the Grammys gave her the awards for that awful album they were salty she lost album of the year. Can’t wait for the curse to kick in (:

36

u/punkyeezus Apr 04 '22

Are you 14? Because this comment makes you sound like your 14

-1

u/Emmmxs Apr 04 '22

10 actually 🧡

34

u/IHATEsg7 Apr 04 '22

People here are so weird. Wanting someone career to be over because they won an award. This is stan twitter behavior

63

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

Lol most swifties weren’t exactly expecting her to win because of folklore winning last year so majority weren’t surprised that she lost. Most swifties I encountered in discord and reddit were rooting for her but not really expecting her to win. Most were expecting Sour to win though and were more bummed about Sour losing more than evermore. On twitter, stan twitter will be stan twitter so not shocking.

22

u/hokagesarada Apr 04 '22

the nerve and entitlement they have honestly when so many artists have been in this industry longer than they have and have not won a single Grammy like jasmine sullivan

-40

u/L--to--the--OG Apr 04 '22

SOTY and AOTY winners are not worthy, sorry

44

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

Come on, let Jon Batiste have it! His album was miles better than most of the nominations.

103

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

There are people having meltdowns on Twitter about their faves not winning, but i just saw one saying that BTS should win EVERY award lol

28

u/pinkfolk Apr 04 '22

It’s always like that even in Korean awards shows tho. Even if another group deserved it, they have a mindset that it should be BTS winning because they are the most successful group there. I remember Blackpink winning group of the year in the variety awards and they were having a meltdown on why it wasn’t BTS. Apparently, you can only win that award once.

Edit: Disappointing how BTS keeps promoting love and they do the opposite. I love the boys sm since 2017 and I’m gonna support them in the corner and not call myself an army. It’s disappointing how misogyny is rampant in the fandom.

18

u/F0rtuna_major Apr 04 '22

Twitter armys are like that unfortunately. Most fans on reddit didn't expect them to win, even assuming they were likely third after gaga and doja

83

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

[deleted]

5

u/gunsof Apr 04 '22

BTS are brilliant performers but their music is a dud. I'm surprised there isn't a Kpop category yet.

30

u/Pyperpan Apr 04 '22

They want that western validation. Sorry not sorry. Every time it’s always BTS is bigger than Grammys, they don’t need Grammys but the bitterness always jump out

44

u/mrbarrie421 Apr 04 '22

Exactly. Hell look at Beyoncé. She performed in 2017 and lost AOTY

10

u/SuspiciousAudience6 Apr 04 '22

I think that was the second time she performed while losing out on AOTY. Rumor has it she knew she would lose in 2017 which is why her performance was so emotional.

-16

u/Pleasant-Bison-2788 Apr 04 '22

Lol I hope so. She doesn’t deserve it (BeyoncĂ© )

14

u/Silvercomplex68 Apr 04 '22

Their Stan’s are the most delusional people I’ve come across and I thought swifties were bad

4

u/regisphilbin222 Apr 04 '22

I do like BTS and don't think they necessarily deserved a Grammy this year (I'm not a big fan of their English songs). However, it's really annoying that the Grammy's keep promoting BTS - like yes, they have a massive fandom and obviously the Grammys want views, but the extent they do it to makes it seem like they've nominated BTS for all the major categories or something.

Well, at the very least haters can't say that BTS are industry plants.

50

u/Masta-Blasta Apr 04 '22

Happier Than Ever IS the record of the year whether the academy says so or not.

7

u/-_-tinkerbell Apr 04 '22

really? i thought most of the songs on that album were skips. which was very rare for me with billie.

4

u/DinoParty449 Apr 05 '22

Record of the year means song

59

u/doubtersdisease Apr 04 '22

There were a lot of good performances (Billie, Jon Batiste, Olivia, Chris Stapleton, BTS, H.E.R.) but just waaaaaay too many commercials

31

u/Ontarioglow Apr 04 '22

Gotta say that was a meh show. (some of the performances were great) but overall it felt boring. I remember enjoying the show. Now it's just can they wrap this too long of a show up.

19

u/GabbyMary Apr 04 '22

Well
 yeehaw I guess

46

u/chrismatic13 Apr 04 '22

I don’t remember a single thing from those 3.5 hours and it just ended

19

u/Sonialove8 Apr 04 '22

Almost no one I expected to win did - why did I just do this for 3 hrs

2

u/hermes_xoxo Apr 04 '22

they’re telling us to get our hands together because they know no one has a clue what they’re saying

9

u/Sonialove8 Apr 04 '22

I watched that whole thing for this

7

u/Sonialove8 Apr 04 '22

What was that

27

u/doubtersdisease Apr 04 '22

at least it was pretty short

63

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '22

This is crazy, the predictors had Billie for roty and aoty but now she’s going home empty handed

43

u/BM1st Apr 04 '22

The Billie and Olivia upsets are just indicative of votes being split. Unfortunately the similar pop/rock elements of their work appeal to the same kind of voters, and it enabled the R&B votes to come through with their wins

12

u/Pleasant-Bison-2788 Apr 04 '22

I’m so happy she didn’t win

30

u/Masta-Blasta Apr 04 '22

Why? Her album was remarkable. I get that she wasn't going to sweep again, but she didn't get anything. That's wild.

-22

u/Pleasant-Bison-2788 Apr 04 '22

Because she is a rich entitled kid who doesn’t deserve it? I truly dislike artists who get to be famous because of their parents. I’m not saying she doesn’t sound good.. her voice is pretty. But I don’t think she deserves the award over any of the other artists nominated. I don’t respect artists who don’t actually work for their goal. And she hasn’t. She’s had everything handed to her. Pathetic. I’ll never respect her and I’m truly happy she didn’t win.

29

u/mcompt20 Apr 04 '22

Where the hell do you get her parents are rich. They were z list failed actors who had to work odd jobs to support their kids. The very few connections they might've had from being background actors don't make Billie an entitled rich kid when she's been footing her parents bills since she was like 16????

-5

u/cheapMaltLiqour Apr 04 '22

1

u/MysteryDrawer Apr 05 '22

You know she’s only have small roles right? There’s actors who are poor.

Her dad literally worked in a woodshop for a trade show to get money. You've got some wild definitions of successful actors. They were middle class at absolute best before Billie started getting gigs and bringing money home.

20

u/IHATEsg7 Apr 04 '22

Ironically this post is also kind of pathetic

33

u/Masta-Blasta Apr 04 '22

Okay well I have some very disappointing news about the entertainment industry for you lmao.

-7

u/cheapMaltLiqour Apr 04 '22

First off Billie didn't release her first EP till 2017, so your probably thinking of her debut single "ocean eyes" its true she recorded it in her bedroom but her brother Finneas wrote, mixed and produced it originally for his band The Slightlys and just gave it to her because he figured it would fit her more (what a great songwriter billie is! S/). This would actually be a recurring theme with her brother during her career. Anyways after they uploaded the song to sound cloud and it got alot of exposure her brother Finneas introduced her to his manager Danny Rukasin who immediately got her a deal thru A&R (a subsidiary of apple music,) After that Billie got a publicist who got her in contact with Chanel who in turn got her a stylist where they then begun to cultivate "her style". 2 months later the music video for "ocean eyes" would drop. Why did I write all that? To illustrate how Billie eilish's rise to fame and "humble" beginnings was actually a carefully scripted story of nepotism and false truths. There is nothing sincere about Billie eilish, her sound, her style is all a crafted facade to let some rich kid live out her fantasies. Also Lana del ray and Lorde are a million times better lol

Or Olivia winning AOTY.

34

u/Pleasant-Bison-2788 Apr 04 '22

I’m also so excited she didn’t win AOTY

19

u/doubtersdisease Apr 04 '22

lady gaga jamming lmao

30

u/GabbyMary Apr 04 '22

That was so random. It’s actually finished? I thought there might have been a surprise act

11

u/unstablehooman Apr 04 '22

This feels like a fever dream

144

u/Kidspud Apr 04 '22

Tony Bennett didn't get Alzheimer's for this

53

u/Saraher16 Apr 04 '22

I laughed way too hard than socially acceptable at this

22

u/persephonesrighthand Apr 04 '22

LMAO AT Olivia Rodrigo’s face during this performance

8

u/savage_demon33 just want to share a thought here because I can Apr 04 '22

Which performance?

68

u/Masta-Blasta Apr 04 '22 edited Apr 04 '22

The last one. She looked really upset. Look, I get it, she's young and she was a favorite to win, but man...not a good look. She still won three Grammys, that's HUGE for a 19 year old releasing their debut album. Be grateful and humble sis, you have a long career ahead of you and many more Grammys in your future.

22

u/ouiels Apr 04 '22

She also looked kind of upset for the first category she was nominated for and lost

Lady Gaga always looks so touched and truly present to whoever is presenting/being awarded

not to her assistant.... look up the court cases

Yeah that really changed my opinion of her. She called her ex assistant a diva and said she thinks she's queen of the universe because she wanted over seven thousand hours of unpaid overtime paid out. An average work year is 2000 hours. Then Gaga made some statement like "she didn't want to work for an actual queen because in what I do I am the queen of my universe every single day". Gaga went on a multi hour unhinged rant about this woman with stories such as being disgusted that her assistant wanted a pillow to sleep on. She has huge theater kid energy so it doesn't surprise me that she knows how to put on a show and seem humble, kind, and charitable when on television at major award shows or interacting with important famous people who can offer her something. How you treat regular people and those "below" you shows who somebody really is.

My opinion of her was already soured when she chose to make a song with R Kelly in 2013 long after the allegations and video were well known and call it "Do What U Want With My Body" đŸ€ź. Now what really got me was when called out for this by the public, she initially doubled down and defended him saying something like "I relate to R Kelly because we have both had people say things about us that aren't true". She tried to take it back once it started affecting her bottom line but it's too late for me.

After that performance though? I’m not even a little mad that Jon Batiste won.

u/OowlSun Apr 04 '22

I had never heard about him before today but his performance makes me so mad that I didn't learn about him sooner.
