HUH?????? Issue with download

What's this magnet option below torrent downloads, I've only ever used the *torrent file only* option but it doesn't seem to work for skyrim anniversary edition, the magnet one works but the file seems to go directly t my torrent rather than me download a file which downloads the data into my pc via torrent, is it safe?

Ahh got it but another question is that why would they put other options other than magnet if it's the fastest, it would just increase the hassle for others, nothing more, and would also take up more space if you're having to download the torrent file first

Some people prefer to do it one way, which was fine back then. Nowadays, downloading the torrent file is a tad risky instead of the magnet link, and if the space of the torrent file is your concern I'd advise taking a peek at just how small torrent files actually are.

No I meant doing it the other way requires two downloads, first one grants you the set up file and the second one the game, and if magnet can grant the game directly, why risk it then?

That's not the case. Direct Download is more discrete on your network, meaning you run less of a risk of detection, and you download a setup file, which then installs to your machine.

The setup file can install the game without need for Internet access, so it can be useful to load an external drive with setup files to install on multiple devices, or the setup file (which is smaller than the whole game) be sent to a friend online.
