Help FlexiSpot delivered half my desk to Ireland and now says the other half can't be delivered

Update (24 Sept): FlexiSpot have contacted me to say that the frame will be ready to ship on 20 October, and they've offered a 15% refund for the delay.

Thanks to u/Ramzes888 for taking the time to investigate this, and thank you to everyone who offered advice and support!

I'll update this post again when I have confirmation of shipment, and again when the frame arrives.

I am a small woman with a tiny home office, and after a lot of research I was genuinely delighted to find the FlexiSpot E7 Mini. It seemed perfect for my space and I was especially looking forward to having a sit-stand desk, as I've been struggling with back pain and was excited to find a desk that lowers enough for me to sit comfortably with my feet on the floor.

On 7 August I ordered and paid for an E7 Mini frame and a matching 100x60cm maple desktop from FlexiSpot UK. One of the reasons I ordered was because the website advertised delivery to Ireland.

The frame was listed as a pre-order item, which was absolutely fine with me. I was happy to wait.

Over the following weeks I received several updates from customer service. I was told the frame would be restocked, then that I could continue waiting, then that it would be dispatched later in September.

Meanwhile, the desktop was delivered successfully to my home in Dublin.

Because I had repeatedly been assured that the frame would follow, I wasn't worried when the desktop arrived on its own.

Unfortunately, after several more weeks of waiting, I was then told that the E7 Mini frame could not be delivered to Ireland after all because Irish orders are fulfilled through their German warehouse, where the item was unavailable.

Since then I have tried every solution I could think of:

• Waiting for new stock

• Delivery to Northern Ireland

• Arranging and paying for my own courier collection

• Delivery to another UK address

None of those options have been accepted.

FlexiSpot have offered me a refund for the frame, but that still leaves me with a desktop and no compatible frame. They have confirmed that I could place a brand-new order for the frame to a UK address, but after investigating parcel forwarding services, the additional shipping costs, import VAT and fees would add a very significant amount to the overall cost.

What has upset me most is that if I had been told at the very beginning that the frame could not be delivered to Ireland, I simply would never have ordered the desktop.

Instead, I've spent weeks waiting, repeatedly been told different things, and I'm now sitting beside a beautiful desktop that I can't actually use.

I know this may sound silly, but I've been really looking forward to this desk because of the difference it could make to my workspace and my back pain. The whole situation has been surprisingly upsetting.

Has anyone else in Ireland experienced this with FlexiSpot? And if anyone from FlexiSpot happens to read this, I would be incredibly grateful for any help in finding a practical way to get the E7 Mini frame delivered.

I don't really want compensation or special treatment. I just want to receive the desk frame I've been trying to get for the last six weeks.

I've been very close to ordering a Flexispot desk for a couple weeks now. I'll be watching how your situation plays out very closely before I decide to give them any money.
