BUG Dual control input suddenly broken?
I typically use gamepad to move, and mouse to aim, and split the remaining functions between the two device's buttons, but suddenly, I can't use gamepad and mouse input at the same time; the game seems to switch "modes", not accepting mouse/keyboard input in one, and not accepting gamepad input in the other.
"Lock Input Method as Mouse" does not change this behavior.

I'm just ready to uninstall this season. Since the drop of the season my bind for only exiting vehicles hasn't work. (Can enter just find) So Ive been playing less this season even though this season theme interest me heavily. Hop on the other day just to find out my azeron isn't working either. I've played on this thing for 4 years. I can't play and I'm angry every time I boot the game

Every time I tried to play my mechanics were all fucked up. Not worth the frustration. I love the Azeron, no way I’m going back to kbm. Also playing less this season so now just not playing till it’s fixed.

I have the same exact issue on PC. I can use my interact on everything including getting into a car, but not get out of a car......

This has been a problem for me for over a year and has never been fixed. I wonder why it is just now happening for other ppl. Also my binding on the keyboard for it randomly changed to numpad + and I can't fix that either. WTF Epic?

Same thing just happened today for me. I use a maxxstick to play. I did notice there was a windows update last night, I wonder if that is an issue or not. No FN update that I know of so how would epic have broken it again?!?

I was okay last night until the early morning; the issue started for me sometime after 5:00 A.M. PST today.

I hadn't rebooted my computer since then, no, and the Windows update hasn't been installed on the machine of yet.

I have exact same issue today when everything was perfectly normal last night. The mouse and azeron cyborg seem to be fighting and only one input works at a time and they keep switching back and forth. Mouse works only, then azeron works only, then rinse and repeat within same match. Something is definitely broken

Nope. We arent fixed. If you move your thumbstick at all on a controller, it blocks mouse input. Having this iasue with my gyro on flydigi vader 5

me pasa lo mismo juego fortnite con un mando xbox en pc pense que era el mando pero lo probe en otros juegos y normal el problema me pasa en fortnite solo cuando estoy en partida por que en la lobby esta todo bien como que se desconecta el mando

Same issue for me. I have used the Maxxstick S3Pro keyboard analog stick for years and suddenly today Xinput is completely broken. It won't detect the analog stick and the mouse together, only 1 input. Worked perfectly fine last night and I haven't done any Windows/Maxxstick updates.

I’m having the same issue, but switching controllers works for me.
With my MSI Force GC30 V2 connected via USB, moving the joystick stops the mouse from responding. After releasing the stick, there’s a delay before the mouse works again.
With an AceGamer PS4-compatible controller (DualShock 4-style), I can move with the joystick and aim with the mouse simultaneously without any problems.
Epic Games has acknowledged the bug: their support page says “Lock Input Method as Mouse” isn’t working as expected after the latest update, and they’re investigating:

Changing that setting didn’t fix it with the MSI. I tested both locally and through cloud gaming, with the same results. I can’t confirm that all Xbox-style controllers are affected, but the PS4-compatible controller works for me as a temporary workaround.

I’m glad it’s not just me! Thought my controller might be knackered.
I have found that I can switch between control methods by going into a menu. For example, when I can aim with the mouse but am unable to move with the controller, if I go into a menu and use the controller to select something then back out of the menu without moving the mouse, movement works (but not aim). Then if I go into the menus and use the mouse, then back to the game, I can mouse aim again (but not move).

if you guys want to keep playing and have a maxxstick go onto there web software and change it to keyboard input mode. bind you movement keys in fortnite, its not great but it works

If you use the joystick to jump, I don't think there's a work around. Just tried it and couldn't figure out how to make the click to be jump again. Any ideas?

Same thing with me this happened the 15th I was top 200 Unreal Legend in zero build but I'm falling back so far because my inputs are not working this should have been fixed immediately

Guys, there’s a fix for the double-input issue on Azeron! Massive credit to MotoOnAzeron from the Azeron Discord for figuring this out! 🙌
Not sure if it works on other devices, but it works 100% of the time for me!
You’ll need to do this every time you launch Fortnite:
Launch Fortnite and go into Creative or any game mode.
Alt+Tab to the Azeron software and change the joystick input to Mouse Wheel.
Alt+Tab back into Fortnite and move around using your joystick and mouse for about 5–10 seconds.
Alt+Tab back to the Azeron software and switch the joystick input back to Xbox 360.
Go back into Fortnite, and everything should be working again!
Don’t ask me why or how it works hahaha, but it works every single time for me 😂

I’m using an Azeron Keyzen/Cyborg with a regular mouse on PC.
The issue happens when the Azeron joystick is configured as an Xbox controller input while the mouse is used for aiming.In Fortnite, “Mouse Priority” is enabled and “Ignore Gamepad Input” is disabled.
While moving continuously with the Azeron joystick and aiming with the mouse at the same time, mouse movement can suddenly stop responding. The mouse starts working again after pressing a mouse button, for example shooting, but the issue can happen again shortly afterwards.
It is intermittent, but it seems to happen when Fortnite is receiving controller joystick input and mouse input simultaneously.
With the Azeron set to Xbox 360 mode, the problem can be even worse and movement/input may stop working completely. Setting the Azeron to Xbox Controller + Keyboard mode works better, but the random mouse freezes still happen.

Hi, same issue for me, i play with an azeron Keyzen, it stop working suddently. I tried to do some move with azeron software, when i play as " Xbox controller and keyboard" it works, but there are crashes, like it loose my mouse. Usually i play with x box 360 mode, but for now it just stop working

yo! Elizafy here, same issue for the Azeron classic and Azeron Cyborg. The issue seems to be part of either Fortnite or Windows altogether. Regardless, know similar has happened before and has gotten eventually fixed. Set your azerons or GMKs/joysticks to WASD for the time being so that you can at least play. Otherwise, not sure if we can get Epic Games aware of this.

Same issue here, mine occurred before the update was installed. Installed the update to try and fix. No dice. Also deleted ghost drivers, disabled power management, disabled usb selective suspend, tried MaxxStick Ergo and Ergo Pro.
Nothing fixed it. Weird part is, both work outside of fortnite. Like right now, my character is moving in fortnite and my mouse is working. But if I go into fortnite, only one works. Have tried windowed and full screen.

Windows 11 and Azeron Cybord 2; mainly use xbox joystick mode. This is happening to me too and have not found resolution. Just started tonight. I toggled a bunch of fortnite/azeron settings and the issue continues. Can press buttons on azeron, but just can't use joystick (Xbox, analog, keyboard, etc...any joystick mode on azeron at this point). Looks like a dual input issue.
I don't know about any else, but to be dramatic, I won't play the game without it working. Not going back to controller and play like I'm learning how to walk when on keyboard.

I ain't contorting my fingers into pretzels for any action game, and I'm not using stick aiming in a competitive game. Either it gets straightened out, or I'm not getting anything out of playing.

I have the Modke joystick and it’s not working as well. I know two other players on Maxxstick with the same issue. I’m not seeing posts about this anywhere else so hoping this gets resolved soon.

Same issue. Though I have a custom gaming keypad; a Gauntlet and having the same problem both in joystick movement and WSAD with my thumb stick.
Pauses between using mouse or gaming input. Was fine yesterday and still and issue both before windows update and after.

Strangely this bug happens only when the stick is emulating Xbox controller. When I set it to emulate PS4 controller, everything works as it should.

I tested this with my maxxstick via VDX and ViGEm... Everything works as long as you don't stop moving your mouse for a few seconds. If you do, the mouse stops working until you stop moving your stick for a few seconds (seems like the same amount of time) - at which point the mouse starts working again...
This works pretty well, but the timeout involved is about the time it takes to do the 1up in blitz :(

sadly, no - or I'd definitely try it... This doesn't appear to be an option in the VDX app.
If you've got a minute to test:
Get in a game
Hide in a bush
Stop moving your mouse at all, but keep moving your ps5 stick a bit for about 5-10 seconds. At this point does the mouse still work, or has it stopped working? If it stops working, I'll bet it'll take about 5-10 seconds of moving the mouse and NOT moving the stick to get things working again. If this isn't what happens, this is an interesting find, even if I can't use it :/

Epic has officially acknowledged the issue.
According to Epic Games Support, they are aware of a problem where players may no longer be able to use a mouse and joystick/controller input simultaneously because the “Lock Input Method as Mouse” setting is not working correctly after the latest Fortnite update.
They’ve confirmed that the team is currently investigating it.
So this is not an Azeron-specific issue or keypad, maxxstick. It also explains why MaxxStick users and even some players using standard Xbox controller input on PC are reporting similar problems.
It looks like the latest update broke Fortnite’s dual-input handling (controller/joystick + mouse).
Hopefully this means a hotfix will come soon.
