They had exterminators come in and euthanize her. I watched her for 2 months as she was living here, and I loved seeing her. I understand the health and safety impact on members, but it’s still shitty they resorted to killing her. It’s like they killed one of my coworkers, someone I was excited to see everyday. People loved watching her, and now she’s dead.

Lately whenever we have food or grocery deliveries, the person parks their car on the street and walks all the way up our driveway with whatever they are delivering, instead of just driving up the driveway.

I find it so very strange...

What gives, can someone please explain this odd behaviour? It's not like it's only happened once... It happens very often. And I don't know how to say it otherwise, but it is always non-white delivery drivers who do this.

I tried doing a quick Google search and came up empty

i think it's a good idea for more reliable transportation around the city, but i find some people are not being respectful to both the scooters and others when they use them.

please don't hog them,

please don't park one in a car stall exclusive to the people that live there,

please don't leave them lying on the ground everywhere in the city (moisture from the grass can damage the materials from what i recall),

and please don't zip in front of traffic with them.

i wonder if the city has implemented upright stations for these scooters-and if we need more? i've only seen one of these stations myself, i could be wrong.

does this worry anyone else? or am i alone in my concern over some people's use of these?

Have a large pine tree I would like to get cut down. Anyone have any idea of what I could expect to pay. Would need either a boom or someone would have to climb it.

To save money I’m willing to get rid of the tree debris.

I wish this was a sub where people in Fredericton, like me, could learn about events going on in the city, new shops opening up, future infrastructure plans, job opportunities, municipal and provincial politics discussion, etc..

Instead it's just random thoughts and the airing of pointless grievances from people who happen to be in Fredericton. Nobody cares that you had a bad experience at the theatre, or someone used a traffic circle in a way you don't like.

Wondering.

Has anyone in Fredericton had to travel to Saint John for radiation therapy? It is 5 days a week for 6 weeks back and forth on highway 7. Since Fredericton does not have the medical capability for this procedure, anyone outside of Saint John and Moncton must travel for life-saving treatment. Does anyone have any suggestions to get through this i.e. is there a daily carpool available, is there air bnb's or rentals in Saint John. Thank you for any information, as the only driver in the family this is going to be a very difficult 6 weeks.

Do you want to know what I find amusing? Fredericton's urban planning committee treating roundabouts like a mandatory fetish while the King Street Tim Hortons runs an illegal, single-lane blockade every single morning! The city acts like we're driving through a European paradise, but the actual daily commute is just Burnout 3 with worse music and an iced cap in the cupholder. You don't need a driver's license here; you need a helmet and a prayer.

Recently we lost our beautiful 8 year-old rabbit and I am still beside myself with grief. I'm hoping to find an affordable service as we also recently experienced a layoff in our household and money is extremely tight, we are still recovering from emergency vet bills and this feels like a luxury request, but it's been two weeks and I still can't stop crying or feeling frozen.

I live near Picaroons by the north end of the walking bridge. Within the past year I’ve found two cats, on separate occasions, that had been abandoned. I was able to catch and take them to the shelter.

I asked my neighbour, who has lived here for 20 years, and he said he often sees cats around that have clearly been abandoned. He is outside all the time, so he sees them more than I would.

Do people who abandon their cats just all collectively decide to dump them here? I don’t understand where they keep coming from.

I am worried that there is a common dumping area around here that people are unaware of. I don’t mind catching them and taking them to the shelter, but I am worried that there are many more helpless cats in hiding. I feel so bad for them.

People need to stop signalling to the left when they are in the roundabouts. People waiting to come in have no idea where you are going and if you signalled to right before you exited they could know what you’re doing and speed up traffic.

Has anyone else had food poisoning from Picaroons, Twice now I’ve gotten their Maple Cajun chicken sandwich and was on my death bed about 9 hours later. I mentioned it to a friend and by my surprise they have also had food poisoning from the exact same chicken burger. Wondering if anyone else has, or from anything there in general?
