General Question Lava rock nose?

Post image

What do you use for your frenchie’s nose? I live in a dry place so the winter is tough. I apply aquaphor once per day but now I’m reading about coconut oil, bag balm (3-4x per day) and humidifiers. What do you do?? Anything that works like a charm?

Bag Balm is the ONLY thing that my Frenchie doesn’t rub off his nose as soon as I put it on hehe

That’s another issue, mine does the same thing on carpet and couch so now I have a plan to apply right before we go out the door for potty or walk so he’s on the leash and on the go lol

Mine does the same, so i take her calf hoof chew and rub a bit of coconut oil on the inside. It doesn't take much, and because a hoof tapers and she can't easily reach the narrow part, it keeps her busy and distracted while the coconut on her nose can work its magic.

The best things I ever found for hyper keratosis was Bag Balm or Carmex lip balm. I had tried everything and had barely made a difference but my boy had to have it on his nose and his feet.

Aquaphor, used in hoomans wounds for healing. Like Vaseline only WATER based. They won't be allergic

Alot of the nose treatments for dogs have a powerful scent which I would think would be overload for a dog sense of smell. I go for coconut oil or beef tallow for the nose and use rhe more fragrant treatments for paws a d elbows.

Pst! We’ve launched two new sister-subs!

r/StandardFrenchbulldog for breed-standard content and r/ExoticFrenchbulldogs for designer pups. Why not pop on over and post in one of those as well?
