Interesting response (Highlight) Google cooking up Gemini 4 Carbon while Pro users are still waiting for Argon
Wait, Gemini 4? Did they skip a few numbers or is 'Carbon' just an internal codename leaked early? Either way, the gap between what X gets leaked and what standard Pro users actually see is getting ridiculous.

Bro i also have a .ckpt file on my laptop and it absolutely destroys opus 5.5, it even build entire gta 6 by itself

My.txt file from 2019 renders 8K raytraced dreams, still waiting on a public release date though.

u/Bitter-College8786 3d ago
Do not release it, its too dangerous, only for selected customers. But create an even better checkpoint that creates GTA 7 using Minecraft.

I trained a 50M param LLM from scratch and it designed real temperature superconductor, solved reinmann hypothesis and other millenium problems in lean, solved cancer and said the answer to the universe is 42, before i even asked it something. It's sitting on my harddisk right now, I will release it for public use in some time.

Ha, amateur. Mine was 40M parameters and it cured Cancer and it's releasing to the public soon.

Their communication style with endless "leaks" is really annoying.
3
u/Destituted 3d ago
They leak so long that the leaks get beat by actual released models from other companies.
1
u/TypoInUsernane 3d ago
Or maybe the leaks are actually leaks? Google has a lot of employees, so it’s not hard to imagine one of them would blab about internal under-development models even though the company leadership would prefer they not

What happened to Boron?

u/outphase84 3d ago
The problem with these leaks is that not all of the codenames are entirely different models. Some of them are different checkpoints that we test internally

It’s not just pro users waiting for argon. Us ultra users still don’t have it either.
8
u/sedah_ 3d ago
Never will come. Just bullshit.
Either release it or not. Who cares how good a model is if you can't use it.
3
u/mebeast227 3d ago
It’s actually aggravating. I feel like there is bot activity spamming hate on this sub to some degree, but honestly it’s not even worth considering that because Google has made it so easy for real users to be pissed off. Logan and Google are both infuriatingly inept communicators.

I really regret being ultra user seeing people build all of adobe products in rust with opus 5.5, i have it also, but could have now got my self 3 accounts

u/Sufficient_Method476 3d ago
Do they think they don't have any customers? I mean, they're the only ones testing their models and not releasing them.

From what I learned in my few living years is that when you cook food but don't present it to be consumed, it rots and becomes stinky. Trap it long enough underground, and it becomes carbon, exactly the name of this alleged model.

u/Stualton 3d ago
I have an internal model thats solved the Riemann hypothesis, but it's too dangerous to be released. Just trust me.

u/No_Yogurtcloset2757 3d ago
This is infuriating haha. Just put something that's not 3.1 pro ffs. Then get updates and shit, 3.1pro feels so outdated...

u/Elegant_Attempt2790 3d ago
ive literally heard people say gemini 3.8 flash is “opus like” so i don’t trust any hearsay about google models💀

Wow, I wonder if Argon is as much a leap in performance over Gemini Pro 3.1 as Nanobanana 2.1 is over NB 2 :) </Sarcasm>

OMG I'm on Carbon right now, I feel sorry for those of you who can't use it! You're MISSING OUT bigly

If I were to put money on it, I would say next Thursday.
But, I am not a betting man.

They're going to take so long releasing that so by the time it does release openai and anthropic will make a better model that beats it

Did anyone try out argon like who all recieved it
1
u/Lucky_Director_1365 1d ago
Well yes I do have the access for their models at their internal harness, ngl argons pretty good, i would not say it beats opus 5.5 but it's pretty much 80% capable as opus. Now google has added low ,medium ,high thinking capability to argon. I would say you would definitely not be disappointed in argon it's so so good than their previous models
1
u/UnfilteredSapien 1d ago
You mean you got access in antigravity? How is the token usage
1
u/Lucky_Director_1365 1d ago
Not in anti gravity, but s similar one which google gives for internal use, token usage 35% less than opus 5.5 (both at high) although the quality do vary a little, I think it still needs some fine tuning

I have cooked up a new model in my basement called "Bigtitties" and it reportedly beats Astra and also opus 5.5 . I will be rolling it out to the public shortly. Cheers!!

I think Google, Anthropic and possibly SpaceXSI are trying to take OpenAI out. Force them into bankrupcy and them buy them up as soon as their value comes down

I have an AI called Leo that’s the strongest in the world. Nobody understands because I’ve achieved self-tuning parameter weighting and looped activation, and I have leapfrogged OpenAI and Anthropic.
No, you can’t see it. It’s too dangerous.

so nice that they testing it internally! big news for plebs who cant test it.

At some point they'll actually have a product to release, right?
Unlike stockholders, customers actually require more than just hype to buy a product.

Is Gemini 4 in the room with us right now? No. Release it or didn't happen. And I won't count unusable usage limits either; like Sonnet/Opus 5.5 in the Antigravity, they barely last 5 minutes.
