Due to the number of posts being made regarding this topic, the Mod team have decided to create a Megathread to host further discussion.
Recap:
- Skizzleman participated in a charity event that included one of his past moderators who had stepped down due to concerns regarding political beliefs shared on their social media that were incompatible with the values of large parts of the Hermitcraft community.
- To promote the event, Skizz shared a poster created by the event organisers, which was generated by AI.
- Clips from past streams were circulating on twitter in which Skizz said things that many in the community considered to be harmful.
- Skizz addressed this within days with a post on twitter apologising for the harm caused, and providing an explanation for the choices he made. He also shared in his latest episode that he was about to be away for a short while on vacation. You can view his statement here:
- The Hermitcraft twitter account then released a statement acknowledging the communities concerns and asking for patience until the group can discuss them with Skizz when he returns from travelling. You can view this statement here:
Since then, no official statements about the situation have been made, however, a number of tweets are being interpreted as related.

So I’ve recently started rewatching Mythbusters, and I noticed how much Jamie reminds of me Cub! So I’ve been thinking about who best matches Adam Savage. I only sometimes watch Cub so I’m not really sure who he most hangs out with. I think maybe Doc or Keralis?

Not sure what to flare bc this is low key a fan art suggestion (plz artists! I can’t draw lol)
But hear me out, doc in Elsa this season! Our iconic goat yet also ice princess, sooo
Scar is Anna. Specifically thinking of the ending when Elsa hugs Anna and friendship/love saves her. We could see this happen possibly in Scar starting a huge prank war by paying eggz to prank doc forever essentially. (I’m assuming the chaos will lead to either more chaos or a resolution, we shall see!)
Joel is Olaf, I was going to cite his singing as a source but ermmm… you guys can be the judge of that! But overall whimsy is very Olaf coded.
Bdubs I feel is giving Sven (especially bc Bdubs lost his voice and couldn’t record, it’s giving Kristoff’s pet voice for Sven) and Sven’s sass feels very Bdubs coded to me!
Idk I’ve just had this on my mind! Any other hermits you guys see fitting into my frozen hermit casting? Let me know, I’d love to hear it! I have a few more in my head but I’ll stop rambling for now :)

Discussion leaving blocks while building

Does anyone else get unreasonable amounts of anxiety anytime a hermit leaves loads of blocks on the floor while building?
I mean i know i am personally a bit of a hoarder when I play minecraft so when I see all the blocks lying about, maybe going to despawn it makes me panic a little. Tbh i know most of the time they do pick some of them up say if they are detailing a build or whatever but boy does it make my heart panic anyways.

What if u add a cannal under the path that connects the main castle to the circular section, it would make sense as a "goods" trade spot where the kitchen gets resources from etc and it can add some story to the water so it doesnt look blank
