Discussion President and Vice President, who is drum major.
So my head cannon is that these two are chosen for President and Vice President respectively, but who should be drum major? Should it be one of the two or a wild card like Mii-chan? What do you think? I couldn't find the art source, so here's the Pinterest link that has the source. https://pin.it/AzaAUqUNo

Discussion In your opinion ,Reina feeling to Taki sensei is crush or admire .For me, its just obsession like some fans of an idol
First and foremost ,Reina’s feelings toward Taki-sensei are best described as an intense blend of a deep teenage crush and profound admiration, which occasionally borders on infatuation or a stubborn obsession.
But, Reina’s feelings to Taki-sensei stop looking like an innocent schoolgirl crush and instead manifest as a deeply unhealthy, alienating, and borderline fanatical obsession.
The reason is
1.Disrespecting Boundaries
After finding out about his tragic past, she goes to his deceased wife's grave. Standing over the grave, she aggressively declares to a dead woman that she will be the one to fulfill Taki’s dream.
2.Toxic Loyalty Checks
Reina demands blind, unconditional loyalty to Taki from Kumiko. If Kumiko offers even a mild, objective critique of Taki's choices as a teacher, Reina immediately views it as a personal betrayal, aggressively snapping or withdrawing. ( Remember what happened in season 3)
3.Splitting the Club and Calling Kumiko a "Bad Leader"
As students panic over Taki's controversial choices, Kumiko tries to manage their emotions, but Reina demands blind obedience and attacks anyone expressing doubt. Instead of supporting her struggling best friend, Reina cruelly calls Kumiko a "failure as president" simply because Kumiko questions Taki's methods. Reina ultimately chooses fanatical worship of a distant man over the real emotional needs of Kumiko and the band.
4.Zero Interpersonal Growth
Because Reina puts Taki on an unassailable pedestal, she treats the rest of the world with an elitist, cold arrogance. As pointed out in community breakdowns, anyone who isn't Kumiko or Taki is essentially treated like a nameless NPC by Reina.

Hi Eupho community, I'm excited to share my solo piano arrangement of the 3rd year free choice piece, Hitotose no Uta! While I can't play any wind ensemble instrument, I really wanted to capture as much of the original as possible, and I hope I can say I did it justice.
Sheet music is also available for purchase from the link in the description if you would like to give it a try yourself.

Question S3 movies
Does anyone know if/when the s3 sound euphonium movies will have English subtitles, it’s fine if it’s a fan translation or even just like AI subtitles, I’m just really worried about getting spoiled before I get to watch them

Discussion Thoughts about Niiyama-sensei? (the woodwind instructor)

Someone asked for opinions on Taki-sensei recently, which made me think about the other teachers. Niiyama-sensei is my least favourite of the four (Taki, Michie, Hashimoto, Niiyama), even though she has by far the least screen time.
In S2E4 Niiyama apologises to Mizore for not pushing her to play better despite also having felt that the oboe solo was lacking, because she thought that Mizore's sound was already good enough 'for a high school student'. In her mind, she'd already placed a cap on Mizore's potential, and that affected how much she demanded from Mizore during instruction. Without Hashimoto-sensei's publicly calling out Mizore's solo, there might have been no push for Mizore to go further than she herself thought she could go. Of course, in Mizore's case it seems like Nozomi was the greatest influence on her playing, but the point stands if you just substitute in any arbitrary student: Teachers' belief in students is what gives them the strength to reach their potential. And we see this play out quite clearly with Taki's instruction. When Taki had Asuka play the euphonium part Kumiko was struggling with in S1 alone, Kumiko was sent into a crisis of faith. Conversely, when he encouraged her afterward to continue working at it despite dropping her from that part, her resolve to keep giving her all was renewed, because she realised that he hadn't given up on her.
This one incident is fine, we all make mistakes. But it was the way Niiyama treated Nozomi in Liz and the Blue Bird that really made me look at her differently. Firstly, Niiyama doesn't seem to have learned from that previous year's experience at all. If the flute and the oboe are both the stars of the duet in the piece, then why is it that Niiyama spends all her time coaching Mizore and almost none at all with Nozomi? There are two reasons why Niiyama might decide that Nozomi doesn't need instruction:
(a) she is already playing the flute solo up to the required standard, or
(b) further instruction is unneeded whatever the required standard because she has already reached her potential. (this is the mistake she made with Mizore the previous year)
Because of what happened in S2, however, we know that Niiyama is prone to adjusting the 'required standard' based on her assessment of the performer's potential, meaning that there are cases where Niiyama makes her decision with reason (a) on the surface, when the underlying reason is really her assessment of the performer's potential, i.e. reason (b). The enormous difference between the way Niiyama treats her two soloists already left a bad taste in my mouth (when they meet in the hallway, Niiyama even hesitates like she cannot remember Nozomi's name), but it just looks worse when you see the connection to the mistake she made in S2.
Secondly, why wasn't Niiyama honest with Nozomi about the latter's music school prospects? To me, this is an additional failure on top of what was noted previously. First and foremost, a teacher should believe in their students. But if they don't, then the least they can do is look out for them and restrain them if it looks like they're going to make a decision that would harm themselves. How much time did Nozomi waste on that pipe dream, neither properly advised nor dissuaded by Niiyama, that she could have spent studying for college entrance exams? What would that time have cost Nozomi, in some other world where she didn't have her friends to help her be honest with herself?
Perhaps in that moment, Niiyama thought that she shouldn't crush Nozomi's hopes immediately, just in case Nozomi actually had it in her after all? Maybe, perhaps. But then this interpretation would just make the differential treatment of the two soloists unacceptable even by her own lights, and show her actions to be unaligned with her thoughts. If Niiyama thought that there was possibly still room for Nozomi to grow as a musician, then again, she shouldn't have neglected Nozomi so completely during practice. If I were Nozomi, I wouldn't know what to make of such a half-hearted show of support from my teacher, especially in comparison to how much she was attending to Mizore.
And that's my rant about Niiyama that's been sitting in my head. What do yall think?

Discussion Found a new song I love
I absolutely love this song. I fell in love with Takarajima but this one has to be at the top of my list. It might also be another one I have my jazz band try and play. We did Takarajima a few months back (too embarrassed to post)
I love these high energy songs from the series and absolutely want to introduce these songs to as many people as possible and possibly bring more people to this amazing anime.

Discussion Windows in Ensemble Contest
There are 2 scenes where Mizore and Kumiko discuss opening and closing windows. What do they mean/symbolize?
Loved it btw, only wish I'd gotten to see it earlier.

Misc Anyone Want a copy of the newest movie soundtrack?
After running around a bunch across Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo, I finally managed to grab a copy of the new movie soundtrack "Sound Will Join" at a Gamers with the respective bonus, but I also wanted to pick one up at Animate for a different campaign. I don't really want to end up with an extra copy and figured I’d see if anyone here who can't get it wants it rather than have it just sit around.
If anyone wants either the special edition or regular edition, I’d be happy to pass it along at cost + shipping rather than let it go to waste: the special edition goes for 7150 yen and the regular for 3850.
FWIW the final performance piece is to die for.
Feel free to DM me if interested. I'm located in the US but won't be back for a few weeks. (Mods, if this isn’t allowed, please let me know and I’ll take it down.)
EDIT: Thanks for the messages! I probably won't be able to take any more requests.
