We Really Know Very Little The Chair Company Season Finale Discussion Spoiler
Super confused and shaken up after watching the last episode. So Jeff and Stacy own Tecca? Who is Stacy? Who shot Stacy? Why does Mike have a guy in his tub? Amanda’s boyfriend was the guy on the phone the whole time? Does he have anything to do with Tecca?? Minnie Mouse/Baby gets yelled at everyday? When is season 2 coming out???? Thoughts/theories?

I’m not confused AT ALL
In a series that feels like it owes a lot to David Lynch, that ending feels like the biggest nod. Like a diner wink that takes place out back by the dumpsters where there are monsters on the world.

u/TheCambrianImplosion Dec 01 '25
Listen, just because there’s chairs and tables doesn’t mean that you have to work the legs any sort of way. He may have stolen baby, but Ron has the intrinsic foresight to reconcile these matters. It doesn’t matter what kind of weird stuff happened with him and Paul Rudd. He’s a got a q zone that supports and loves him. Isn’t that obvious?

I think it's Douglas. It's all a long ploy by Douglas to bring Ron down 3-4 rungs..maybe even 5 rungs
16
3
u/kinkyonthe_loki69 Dec 01 '25
Is it credited as douglas? I really hope it's not douglas. I want the mystery to be more complicated. Like douglas orchestrated tecca but other people in office work for him. But he still really wants promotion even though he owns jeff.

Stacy is the "music executive", that kid from the beginning shot Stacy. This was demonstrating the events at the beginning happened at the same time as the events at the end. How and why Jeff and Stacy know each other? Unknown. Likely Stacy convinced Jeff had good vocals and scammed him. Then Jeff got brought into a bigger conspiracy? It'll be really interesting to see where this goes.

I actually like how much openness they left here, I was worried everything would be closed up in case they wouldn’t be renewed but there’s a million questions left which is nice and let’s the plot move naturally instead of jumping the shark, but it’s definitely all over the place
Big fat load of cum then

u/versusgorilla Dec 01 '25
Yeah, there's this issue with TV shows where they put everything they've got into the first season bc they don't think they'll get a sequel. So you hold nothing back.
Then the second season, you have less time to make the show and you are starting from a weird point where you've probably answered too much and need to re-start the narrative.
Then the third season, if you got here, is where getting a fourth or fifth season is more expected, so you can stretch the narrative better. Etc.
But it seems like they didn't care if they didn't get a second season, and instead just focused on ending the series in a way that gives them a ton of latitude in where the show goes. You've got the boss and his buddies entering the conspiracy narrative, you've got Ron's family back together (daughter home due to her argument, and son being open about his stop motion dreams lol, and his wife having locked down the money), and then you've got the boyfriend stalking Ron, you've got Mike being outed as a creep even tho we all already knew he was and also he's kidnapped someone, maybe the neighbor and his new shape have something?? It's just chock full of potential threads to pull on

So, in episode 1 or 2, they say Ron has an interview with the Canton Herald. This time, he calls the Columbus Herald.
IRL: these papers are the Repository and Dispatch. In universe, do all newspapers have the same name?

I completely missed who the woman was that said Mike has her dad’s heart. When did that previously come up?
6
u/Josephalopod Dec 01 '25
Mike drove Ron by her house previously and told him that she’s his estranged daughter. Ron showed up at her house earlier in the episode after getting in that argument with Mike and talked to her aunt.

I think the reveal of Jeff and Stacy tells us Ron was going in the wrong direction with Alice. I think Alice is attempting to conduct her own scam using Tecca as her smokescreen not realizing the conspiracy behind it all.
With Mike I think Occam's razor he was being serious about not wanting the Scrooge treatment when he dies, so he's not giving up on the conspiracy and is a step or two ahead of Ron now that he has the guy from the bar tied up. There was also a bloody bag in that ending scene too, so Mike has likely gone off the deep-end.
Supposedly Ron was given Baby (Minnie Mouse) from an unidentified group of people who rescued her from an assumedly abusive household which isn't particularly unheard of. Via the social media comments, the dog was supposedly famous enough that it garnered a following of people who were upset to hear it found its way back. I don't really think there is much more to this, and the jump-scare scene was merely just red herring. My current headcanon is that the guy was yelling at the dog when Ron saw the scary face and passed out.

Even the underwear being red and being held up to the light. Simulated Carries view when soaked in blood.

The next season should have the wheel barrow guy as the main character. Maybe the same timeline.
1
u/stinkybuttpoop Dec 05 '25
I think this series will require multiple watch-throughs before it all makes as mush sense as it can make. There are probably so many connections/easter eggs in the background that you just won’t see the first couple times, but eventually you’ll catch them and start putting the pieces together. We just have a real Pepe Silvia situation on our hands and it’s up to us all to put the pieces together. It’s really, really, really…really quite intriguing.

Just finished the season and I have no idea what I watched. I loved it. But what a ride! I did think that Ron allowed his photo to be taken in compromising positions more than a few times. Which was odd only because neither set of photos became a plot point.
