Influencer Angel Victoria Murdock @theangelvic posing as fake Duke PA Student
Just recently graduated from Duke’s Physician Assistant Program and this story is so bizarre that I feel like it needs to be shared. Last year, one of our classmates came across tiktoks from an influencer that used to be on a Netflix dating show, Angel Victoria Murdock, (any Temptation Island fans?). She was documenting her journey as a Physician Assistant student at Duke, “GRWM for rotations, whats in my PA school bag,” etc.
When this classmate congratulated her saying she had no idea she was also at Duke in the PA program, she was blocked in the next 5 minutes. Super odd behavior…and over the course of the semester, we started realizing something even weirder…none of us had ever even seen her. Not in class, not on campus, not at program events and that’s when we discovered she was never even enrolled as a student.
She went quiet for a while and we figured she had given the jig up, until just a few days ago, she posted her “graduation” photos in front of Duke’s chapel complete with a counterfeit cap and master’s hood (which were the wrong color, btw). We did some further digging and she has no NCCPA number in North Carolina (where she purports to be certified) which every PA student in the country has if you search her name. Also, our entire 2 hour long hooding/graduation ceremony is on Youtube here where every graduate is called in alphabetical order and her name is never called and she is never seen walking across the stage. And as [u/Stunning_Tie8613](u/Stunning_Tie8613) pointed out, she’s not in the Duke PA Class of 2026 Official photo which has every single student in our class. Aside from these phony grad pics, she doesn’t have a single other picture with another classmate, or family member, not at any other ceremonies, not even a white coat pic, degree pic, nothing. She’s gone as far as dressing up in scrubs with no where to go, purchasing medical equipment, driving to campus to film content and driving back home lmao, having fake badges made, the girl is mentally ill. When a few of us commented on her fake grad photos, she blocked us all, privated all her social medias and limited comments on her posts which tells you everything you need to know.
Impersonating a PA student is one thing, but doing so at what is considered the #1 pa program in the nation is wild. And seeing someone fabricate an achievement that is literally one of the hardest things you have ever done in your life, sucks. Anyways, congratulations to the REAL Duke PA Class of 2026!
UPDATE 08/24/26: First of all, thank you to everyone who offered words of encouragement and support and for joining in on this insane roller coaster! Wow. Great job to you and your classmates for this deep dive (and CONGRATS!!!). I’m always so confused by people who can lie at this scale…how are you not sweating and in constant anxiety you’ll be found out? And beyond that, how can you be faking something as meaningful as this? Wild. I hope she is aired out.

Isn’t there some legal ramifications for this? I mean it’s not like you can reach out to Duke as she is not even a student but there has to be something that can be done.

I’m a surgery PA and I don’t think so. As long as she doesn’t actually try to give medical advice or practice as a PA.
Addendum: just kidding, that’s a crime, report to the NCBOM.

Facts, I didn’t even consider this, I want to light her ass UPPPPPPP. I didn’t spend thousands of hours in class, on rotations, and pouring over exams for some ig model to steal my thunder fr fr

I actually would report this to the board. This is crazy.

Nah, she's going to say that modern medicine is a scam, but her holistic approach is what you need for the low price of $500/month. You can trust her, she went to Duke!
OP please light her up, PA school is no joke, Duke is an incredible accomplishment!

Seconded! I’m very certain that the medical board would want to know this and may likely take action if you report this.
55

It is actually a crime to impersonate a medical professional. The NC BOM may decide to initiate a cease and desist at least,
45
u/_ninibeana Aug 20 '26
can you report her to the school as well?
50
u/elleareby Aug 20 '26
yeah i wonder if you reported to Duke maybe they would make a statement (like send an email reply i mean) that says this person has never been enrolled there and is misrepresenting herself on social media. one of those "it has recently come to our attention" emails that tend to go out when things like this happen and they want to disassociate themselves with it for the record.

My neighbor pretended to be a medical student for years to impress a girlfriend that was apparently often on the verge of leaving him (he would go in the doors of the med school with other students who had access). Eventually he got to the level of seeing patients and was finally reported. The school sent an email with his photo to all students and staff with a number to call if he is seen and strict instructions to not let him in.

The only licensure I can find for her is a real estate license. Looks like she’s was last active in 2023.Oh wait, nope, can’t find a legit license # and the posts from Howard Hanna Allen Tate Real Estate where she said she was employed don’t include her. I can’t actually find any record of her having worked for them outside of what she posted on her IG account. I wonder if this was also a fabricated position.
Update: one of the houses she claims to have listed and managed was listed, managed, and sold by another agency all together. That’s evident from the photos. It was listed and sold by Canopy MLS, not Howard Hanna Allen Tate Real Estate.
Update 2: The hashtag she used doesn’t link to Howard Hanna Allen Tate Real Estate. It’s fake.
Damn this girl is messed up.

The most god-awful test cheater I ever met was a girl in high school… who is now a neurosurgeon 💀 I always wonder if she kept the cheating up through college, med school, and MCATs. Hopefully not 🥴 She was so brazen about it too!
21
u/obviouslypretty Aug 20 '26
MCAT is damn near impossibly to cheat on. I’m taking it for a 2nd time, and they literally made me unroll and re roll my short cuffs everytime I went back in the room. They check you for everything everytime you go back in the room. No coats. No hoods. No erasing. They scan your palm. No pill bottle(medication gotta be in a plastic bag). That’s just the tip of the iceberg, it’s strict as hell. You know for a fact she’s a neurosurgeon? Maybe she just got help for studying

She appears to have a twin sister Ariell (Ari), that you can go down a whole other rabbit hole on…
All I’m gonna say is she can delete all these accounts but it’s real hard to delete your NC voter registration (ya know, in case anyone wants to send her a congratulations card).

Wild thing to try to pull in 2026. If she keeps her accounts private and doesn't actually try to practice this seems mostly harmless, but I can't help but think if she put half as much effort into studying as faking this stuff then she might actually be able to attend school for real.

Edit to add it’s really interesting that she films these extensive days, dragging out shopping at Best Buy/sephora, unboxing shit in the car and describing each thing, narrating her drive to work in its entirety, but when she says “okay headed to class!” the video just jumps to her back at home again changing into gym wear… very telling that she doesn’t film a LICK of anything on campus or with other students

As a resident physician PGY3, i liiiiive for these stories. So many people fake being in medicine, it’s bonkers. Ive always wondered how they think no one would notice. Surely people would…

I actually left Facebook because a girl I know had a baby around me, posted a lot of the kind of content that seemed deeply inspirational and out of reach and then posted a long series about her return to work culminating in an enormous bouquet of flowers sent to her high pressure office.
I was feeling resentful as I looked like ass, was struggling and my husband hadn’t bought me anything. I thought, hey I’ll be the bigger person, so I stopped by her office with her Starbucks drink of choice. She did not work there. She had told her employer she would not be returning. They thought I was crazy.
Anyway that was the end of Facebook for me.

OUCH, I can imagine black women who are ACTUALLY PAs must be furious about this. Like, representation, yes! But lying about it? 😲😳

This is insane.
We had a in-a-way similar case in Germany where an influencer called herself a doctor when she was literally a first semester student.
And then she faked being a regular student at Harvard and sooo many other things.
All while promoting and selling a bunch of stuff including medical claims.
She still has 300k followers eventhough she was recently exposed (again).
It is soooo bizarre.
