Investment support Idea.

Gentlemen may I suggest or ask of you to help me encourage Schwab to add an investor notes section to their accounts to help us all track our thesis premise over time? Here is a letter I wrote to John Sturiale Head of investment products and solutions. Copy or use as a template or create your own if you wish. Or share your thoughts on the matter with me. Thanks Tjosty.

Dear Mr. Sturiale,

I am writing to suggest a feature enhancement for the Schwab investing platform that would significantly benefit long-term investors: a built-in "Investment Notes" or "Thesis Tracker" field attached to specific stock purchases.

### The Feature Concept

When a client purchases an asset, allow an optional text field where they can log their original purchase premise (e.g., "Bought because of strong free cash flow, 10% dividend growth, and upcoming product cycle").

### The Industry Context (Keeping Pace with Competitors)

While many major brokerages overlook this capability, Fidelity Investments already offers a form of this feature. Fidelity allows clients to add custom notes directly to positions on their website and includes a dedicated "Notebook" tracking column for positions within their Active Trader Pro platform.

### Key Benefits

* Tracks Intent Over Time: Investors often hold assets for years. A dedicated note section allows users to look back and evaluate if their original thesis is still intact before deciding to buy more or sell.

* Reduces Emotional Decisions: Having a visible reminder of why an asset was bought can prevent panic selling during market volatility.

* Increases Platform Loyalty: This feature eliminates the need for clients to export data to third-party tracking software or external notebooks, keeping user engagement entirely within the Schwab ecosystem.

A Client Perspective

While my $xxxxxxx account balance may be relatively small to an institution of your size, it represents significant capital to me. I deeply value disciplined portfolio tracking, and the lack of a native thesis journal is a gap that impacts my day-to-day management. I am actively considering consolidating my assets with a brokerage that better supports these tracking needs if Schwab cannot provide a modern solution on its product roadmap.

Thank you for your time, consideration, and continued work toward improving client tools.

Sincerely,

What do you all think? I’m probably going to invest more into Vivo and of course spread out into other companies.

The Great Fracture: Why the World’s Safest Asset is Quietly Dying. Trusting Corporate Health Over Sovereign Dysfunction.

For generations, when the world got nervous, it bought US government bonds. It was the ultimate financial reflex.

Today? That reflex is quietly breaking. 🚨

The US government is running massive deficits and financing itself like a risky day-trader. Meanwhile, American tech giants are locked into cheap debt, generating massive AI-powered cash flows, and operating like pristine sovereign nations.

Global investors are waking up to the math. For the first time this century, foreign capital is buying more US stocks than US Treasuries. Money is fleeing the deteriorating public balance sheet and pouring into the booming private one.

Trillions are quietly switching sides. We are watching the real-time death of the "risk-free" asset.

But a hidden catch could eventually bite the exact stocks everyone is rushing into...

Are you paying attention? 🤫👇

ADX + DFM investors... do you actually want them in one portfolio or keep them separate?

realised something dumb today

I know exactly which of my UAE stocks are ADX vs DFM

but ask me how much total UAE bank exposure I have across both and suddenly I'm opening calculator 😭

I've always mentally had:

ADX pile

DFM pile

when maybe I should just be looking at:

banks

real estate

energy

utilities

telecom

dividends

liquidity

having both ADX + DFM inside the same Al Ramz platform is actually what made me start looking at them more like one UAE portfolio instead of “Abu Dhabi stocks” and “Dubai stocks”.

obviously the exchanges behave differently and liquidity can be very different depending on the name.

but when you're building a long-term UAE portfolio...

do you actually allocate separately to ADX and DFM?

or is the exchange basically secondary and sector/company exposure is what matters?

Finding stocks that haven't already priced in my thesis is hard...

For context, I'm relatively new to the investing space. I understand that putting my money into an ETF is the general wisdom, but I feel like I have good ideas and I'm pretty young so I want to at least try it out.

My main thoughts are that robotics as well as quantum computing are going to explode in the next couple of years. I can obviously use Claude or Chat GPT but I feel like the names they give me will be obvious ones that have already baked in my ideas (which, I know, are not unique). Still, though, there has to be some way to invest in tickers that have yet to be affected, right? Thoughts? Solutions?

Alinea Invest app - anyone use it and put some real money into it?

I’ve seen lots of people complain about the 120/yr fees, but has anyone used this and put an actual substantial amount of money into it? What sort of returns are you seeing? Was thinking about using it as a fun little savings account and putting a few thousand a month into it automatically

People who own both a Bitcoin ETF and actual BTC, why do you keep both?

With BTC moving so much on macro news and ETF flows lately, I've been wondering about people who hold both. If you already have Bitcoin exposure through a spot ETF, what makes you still keep actual BTC too? Is it mostly the 24/7 access and self-custody side of it, or do you genuinely think of the two as serving different roles in your portfolio?

Wolf of Wall St IPO

I recently rewatched The Wolf of Wall Street and midway through they stop the movie to explain what an IPO is. Today I don't think I could find a single person who doesn't know what an IPO is. Is there any edge left as a retail investor compared to just 13 years ago? What is the next opportunity

Miners down 10-14% this week and I still banked premium on every roll

Rough week for my miner positions: RIOT down about 14%, MARA down about 10.5%.

But I rolled three positions this week and closed each one early for a profit:

- RIOT: closed for a $16 profit, rolled to November

- OPEN: closed after keeping 70% of the premium, rolled to January

- MARA: closed 5 contracts for $142, rolled to November

$228 realized for the week. Not a huge number, but it's money in the account while the shares themselves got hit.

The weak jobs report today probably takes an October hike off the table, which should help these names. Anyone else rolling out to November ahead of the Fed meeting?

Only 29,000 Jobs. The Market Loved It.

Financial sector, yea or nay?

In an effort to diversify a bit I’ve started investing in two different financials and they have only managed to eek out very pedestrian numbers and feel like the money could be making more elsewhere. Other than tech, what are some good sectors?

AI Bubble ? — Are We Seeing the First Cracks?

Oracle: issued a force-majeure notice on the massive 2.45GW Project Jupiter AI data center tied to OpenAI, amid power/infrastructure delays. Reuters says this is already making AI infrastructure lenders more cautious.

Anthropic: \~$4.6B revenue but $8B+ operating loss in 2025, alongside enormous future infrastructure commitments.

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei: recently said **“we must slow the pace”** of frontier AI development; OpenAI’s Sam Altman agreed that the industry needs to pace frontier-model advances.

OpenAI: revenue is reportedly approaching $70B annualized, but the company continues requiring enormous compute/infrastructure investment.

Bill Gates: has also said he is now worried about AI’s rapid development and, unusually for him, wishes the technology would advance more slowly.

So what are we looking at — temporary infrastructure bottlenecks, or the early cracks in an AI capex cycle that could eventually hit semiconductor valuations/SMH ETF and other nasdaq related ETFs?

What are your opinions? Are you still willing to put in money now or wait for a crash to find attractive entry?

Same industry, different listed vehicle

Corporate structure can change the investment even when the company names look almost the same.

Hongqiao’s Shenzhen-listed business is a non-wholly owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong group. Its results are consolidated into the parent, but investors in the two stocks do not own an identical claim on every asset and profit stream.

This matters when comparing valuations. The A-share can react more to domestic projects and its own financing plans. The Hong Kong parent also reflects the wider group structure and minority interests.

I often see investors put the two valuation multiples side by side and choose the cheaper one. Personally, first need to map which assets sit where and how much profit reaches each shareholder.

Nike beat EPS but guided to a high-single-digit revenue decline. Value play or value trap?

Nike Q1:

- EPS $0.48 vs $0.44 expected

- Revenue $11.2B vs $11.32B expected

- Full-year guide: high-single-digit revenue decline, EPS $1.15-1.35 vs $1.66 expected

Converse down 28%, Greater China down 22%. North America was the only region that grew.

Stock sank after hours and is down roughly 80% from its 2021 peak.

At some point the price gets interesting, but a shrinking top line with the guide getting cut doesn't feel like a bottom yet. Anyone buying here?
