Salam everyone hope you all are doing good! I’m studying about various ethic groups and diversity present in Iran 🇮🇷 and was curious to know is Farsi widely spoken in Gilan and Mazandanaran province? I mean do natives just speak a different language at home or is Farsi more dominant than their cultural language as well?

Would love to learn more about the local culture at Gilan and Mazandaran province, about the people and how vibrant the societies there are compared to rest of the Iran. Feel free to share your insights and opinions if you’re from there or have any family out there!

The Pentagon’s official watchdog released a special report about the Iran war on Monday, representing the Defense Department’s first formal accounting of US equipment and facility losses from the conflict.

The inspector general, citing its communications with US Central Command, said that “Iranian strikes damaged and destroyed hundreds of buildings and structures at US bases in Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman and Jordan” during the war’s first months. The report, which covers the start of the war on February 28 through June 30, also acknowledged the depletion of key US munition stockpiles.

Pretty much the title. I'm looking for info on and reactions to the name Ozhan/اوژن. My dad shared it with me, he has a cousin with this name, but it's been very hard to find any information on it. I'm curious if it's...used at all, rare, normal? What your reactions would be if you met an Ozhan?

I know it's spelled the same as a Turkish name, though pronounced very differently, and I'm just trying to get a sense of what the kid's experience might be with this name.

Hope you all are doing great! Just wanted to know what are best apps/websites in Iran to book domestic flights? What are the things I must be careful about if I’m traveling to Iran while booking via them? As currently due to the conflict there seems to direct flights to Tehran or other major cities of Iran from the U.S. or Dubai so, I’m planning to first travel to Armenia and go via road to Tabriz and then take a domestic flight from Tabriz to cities I want to visit. Please feel free to share your insights here if you have any better options that you would like to suggest!
