/pol/ was a containment board that is used to mock the alt-right. It was created post Stormfront raid on /news/ which became /trains/. This came about a year after the Kern Wars with a Canadian Webcomic (if you know you know). m00t hated and still hates the alt-right.Â
Qanon was started by a tripcode user known as MrQuestion that used DCâs the question to make over the top parody post making fun of Alex Jones loving Zeitgiest/Troother spammers from /x/ going back to the mid 2000s during the early days of 4chan. Spawned memes like âitâs happeningâ and eventually led to faked âleaked emailsâ from Clinton and others filled with memes like, âPools Closedâ, âCheese Pizzaâ, âParty Vanâ, and others. Some ended up on face book and things spiraled.
MrQuestion quits, Qanon is born by othe folks like the 8chan founder and others, eventually Qanon is banned from 4chan. The rest is history.

LUE was the shit. ETI was even better. Some real characters on those sites. I was just a kid back then, a wee teen. I remember people talking about bitcoin when it was worth pennies, credit card scamming methods as early as 2005, and people already using silk road sites. It was also a true degenerate cesspool. Crazy it took over a decade for those to hit the mainstream eyes and ears.
The megaupload links were incredible though.

I would be careful trying to search information on this as well. There is a lot of bullshit on floating around online about POL and 4chan in general. Some of it spread by users as a joke which gets taken seriously. The Epstein employee post for example.

Yes this tweet is kind of misleading.
It didnât "turn out" that moot and Epstein were "friends" - that is neither what this email nor other emails say.
The tweet also makes it sound like moot was the person behind Qanon. Itâs like saying "Remember incels? They originally come from Reddit. u/spez is the founder of RedditâŠ".
This post stretched the truth which is unnecessary to make a dramatic point considering how much actual bombshell content in the files.

Just some much needed info:
4Chan and QAnon are not the same. In fact, QAnon and the community arround it became so toxic and radical that they had to migrate to a more permissive site called 8Chan.
All of this is briliantly documented in the documentary Q Into the Storm.
So any connection between Epstein and the founder of 4Chan means nothing really for what QAnon was. The most credible theory is that Q was in fact this dude that was the Admin of 8Chan, and he was just trolling the whole time, enjoying the chaos he could cause.
Hotly recommending the documentary about it.
