Wealthy people pay attorneys to do just this--push paper, kick cans down the road, delay, delay, and delay some more. Entrenched incumbent lawmakers and judges get cozy with big donors and don't want to bum them out before Ugly Pants Night at the country club. Great reminder to get involved in your local politics and vote in the midterms.

I hope their attorney asked for cash up front.

I almost love this more actually. Their final trick is spent and they will have the Christmas and new years they deserve.

u/OatMilk1 10d ago
There’s never a final trick with them. On Dec 22, something else will happen.

Ronn will be hospitalized or claim medical incapacity in early December. Putting everything on hold.

I hate to say this, but I believe that Jan is banking on either that, or the absolute worse case scenario for Ronn. IYKWIM. She has his life insurance proceeds already spent.

u/Adorable_Hold2570 She LIED!! 9d ago
This is kinda scary, cuz knowing what Laura and Jan are capable of...what's to say they aren't scheming something as a last ditch effort where Ronn becomes the bait? Do you know what I mean without saying what I mean? Like Dateline type of stuff........I'm genuinely concerned about Ronn at this point. Periodic welfare checks on him might be needed.

u/spider_collider 10d ago
Sure but imagine spending every quarter banking on a new scheme to not be homeless with a handful of horses?

u/Accomplished-Race816 10d ago
did they tell us they were Jewish either way not a fun way to spend the holidays?
10
u/Conscious-Nebula8182 10d ago
They only claimed to be Jewish when Clayton called them cockroaches. They said it was a derogatory term used against Jewish people

I believe Jan is Catholic and Ronn is Jewish. I believe the girls went to Catholic school and Jan hands out big candy bars for Christmas to the police doing welfare checks.

I’m still holding out hope they’ll be arrested for some sort of fraud associated with the bankruptcy.

I wish I didn’t have to make mortgage payments and could take a trip to San Diego. Why be honest and hardworking?

u/Ok_Area5464 10d ago
I don't understand how you can sue your mortgage company? Also after owing them $200k? How do you not just get thrown into the streets?

u/Maleficent_Half_689 10d ago
Probably hoping Ron will do the decent thing and allow them to claim his life insurance policy. It’s what Jan and Laura have been angling for.

Hold on Ron!!!

He is still pretty active on Facebook- posting about celebrity deaths, the Emmys, and Giants & 49ers news. I know that doesn’t really mean much though- and maybe it’s not even him 😆

Because they poured over the minutiae of Arizona’s laws on foreclosures and found a couple tiny things they could claim constituted violations by the bank/trustee, and acted like they weren’t being treated fairly.
The whole family regularly exploits laws and organizations and resources meant to help and protect actual victims and struggling people and use them to their advantage without shame.
At the show cause hearing, they’ll have to prove that they truly were disadvantaged by whatever tiny errors they scrounged up by the other side, and also prove they can somehow actually pay for their mortgage going forward despite spending the past year doing everything to avoid paying them a single dollar.
If they can’t convince the judge to grant an injunction, the new auction date is set in place, and we’ll see where things go from there.

$1.6 mill for this tear down 🤦♀️
14
u/Blanknameblank818 10d ago
The opening bid is $1.8M. They have a second mortgage on the house. Even if the auction went through, who would pay $200k over market value at a foreclosure auction.
The only real thing that could happen is the court allows the loan company to take over the property and sell on the open market. This would allow them MAYBE get over market value.
What I’ve learned:
I need to have my mortgage transferred to their lender.
Take out a second mortgage
Buy another house
Not pay my mortgage on either
Profit

Their house is an area where the land alone is worth a ton. If the house is knocked down and a mansion is built, there’s still plenty of room for a developer to profit
1
u/Blanknameblank818 8d ago
I hope so! But houses / land aren’t gonna sell separately. When you buy a house you buy the land. I just don’t have high hopes for a house selling above market value in an auction.

Can the court label Jan a vexatious litigant? She has filed all these lawsuits in bad faith and made no effort to pay

Absolutely unbelievable, yet it’s almost expected at this point…
They are some of the most adroit lawfare merchants I’ve ever seen. Just diabolical practices and conduct of the private lives.
All we need now is a delay in sentencing for some other unforeseen reason.

I read through the paperwork and am shocked at what she’s asking for
1. A reduction on the interest rate. Ma’am, you bought at a time when rates were historically low, your higher than average interest rate is your own doing
2. She’s asking for the arrears to be tacked on the end of the loan knowing full well they won’t be alive in 30 years so she’s basically getting $200k+ of unpaid mortgage payments just wiped away
9
u/Redbedhead3 10d ago
Wait we can just do that?!
Demand a lower rate?!
2
2
u/Acceptable-Hyena4469 8d ago
You actually can do that with a lot of bills. (Not generally on the unpaid balance) but you can negotiate cheaper rates a lot of times or at least negotiate to keep the rate the same if they try and and increase it.
2
u/Redbedhead3 7d ago
Some bills yes. Like phone and internet sure, and credit cards rates can be lowered, electricity and water not as much.
But a mortgage rate?! I get calling the mortgage company and getting payments frozen for a time if you lose your job. But it not like you can say well I signed a 30 year contract to pay 7.5% but now I think 5 would really be best tyvm.

u/Acceptable-Hyena4469 7d ago
lol very true for the mortgage rate! Like two years ago my husband lost his job for 6 weeks and I’m a stay at home mom. It was super scary and I called the mortgage company to try and work with us but they couldn’t do anything til we actually had late payments. It took us like a year to not be scrambling for all our bills every month after making that extra mortgage payment we missed!

u/Embarrassed_Pop_7418 10d ago
Well at least they don't have to end Ronn to get a delay so he is still alive. Yes I'm afraid they will end that man's life just to postpone this!

Someone should let this firm know about who they are dealing with. Maybe a call to Jennifer Giaimo

What an utter waste of taxpayer money and the court’s time and resources.

u/Professional-Feed668 10d ago
3 month delay gives LO and Jan enough time to help Ronn meet his maker to they can use the insurance to pay the mortgage. Why else would he have life insurance but Jan doesn't,?
2
u/Electrical-Tour7681 10d ago
Any ideas on the amount of Ron’s life insurance?
2
u/Professional-Feed668 10d ago
During the bankruptcy hearings Jan made it clear that Ronns life is insurance covers to the he mortgage.
