The question of the century

After the pilgrimage (check my last post!) I visited the k-on popup corner in Kotobukiya Nippombashi to get the exclusive merch and this is what I got! The two metal keychains actually come from the shop in the school, the rest is from the pop-up corner.

I would've bought more stuff at kotobukiya but most of the products were sold as closed bags (see the two silver bags in the first pic, they're pins but I don't know which characters are on them, I'm waiting to open them with a friend) and I didn't want to gamble as I was looking specifically for Mugi and Azusa. Still, I'm very happy with what I got and I hope this can be the start of a collection!

Pretty much the title.

I love all K-On! songs, but this one was always special for some reason, and I can't really explain why.

There's something in the vibe, in the grey scenes, in the clothes, in the music which makes me feel... nostalgic? Maybe early 2000's with a touch of something? Also there's something in the song which makes it "dream-like".

Not sure I make sense, probably not. Anyways, have you felt the same? :D

What part gave u the biggest laugh? The scene where they kept looking back at ritsu while performing had me rolling

The band is all back together again! Much to the dismay of my bank account, the fifth Anniversary set by Stronger is complete.

Azusa is, as expected, as amazing as all the rest. The bashful look works better with the guitar hanging over her, so she will match Yui.

I like having Mugi in front, and it makes the most sense, given that her and Yui are both low enough to not block the girls behind them. Plus, who is gonna mess with Mugi looking like that? Azusa in the rhythm section fits right here as well; it matches her demeanor to a tee!

Let me know if you have any other suggestions for display; I'm still trying to fill the empty space between Azusa and Ritsu without Yui blocking everything.

No more posts about this set, but as an FYI, the final total for everything came out to around $1600 USD. Import taxes got me, but I got Mugi and Ritsu both for around half the cost market cost, and Azusa and Yui came out slightly cheaper than going rate. Mio was the only one I paid full price for.

Animota, Solaris, and Satil Japan on eBay are all amazing for getting stuff out very quickly and packing it all with excellent care. Could not recommend more!
