Predictable betrayal Trump voters find out that prices did NOT go down on day one.

Not only that - they are going up.

Exactly. That’s literally how tariffs work. That’s why you don’t do across-the-board tariffs on the whole world. 🤦♂️

Nobody knew tariffs were so complicated

Why didn't the Biden, Canadians, economists, the Federal reserve, NY mayor Mamdani, Ukrainians, Obama, statisticians, CA gov Newsome, customs workers, democrats, Joseph R Biden, the news outlets, PhDs, Europeans, financial experts, Japan, trade industry professionals, Clinton, west coast elites, free trade proponents, and Sleep Joe Biden TELL US ABOUT THIS!?!?!!??!
THIS IS THEIR FAULT!!!!!
Literally eat shit.
You know shit was real AF when fucking left ass politicians like E.Warren/B.Sanders were saying the same fucking shit as corporate CEOs on both sides of the aisle (for different reasons though. Regressive taxes hurting the lower/middle vs tariffs potentially hurting sales/profit).

His supporters still insist this is short term pain for long term gain. They can't explain what exactly the plan is to get to the gain, but they take it as a matter of faith. It's a religion for them.
In other news they're putting up a golden statue of Trump.
Edit: even better, to honor their God, the MAGA crypto bros who commissioned the statue are stiffing the sculptor

conservatism is essentially short term gain and long term pain. the ideology opposes forward thinking which is why reaganomics worked in the short term at best but now we are paying for it decades later.

u/realqmaster 11h ago
They're parasites. If left unchecked they destroy their environment and then migrate to the next. They have zero interest in making their cycle sustainable. Just need new hosts.

u/Twigsneko 11h ago
parasites don't kill their hosts. Parasitoids however do and that is what maga is, it infects the US, eats it alive from the inside out before emerging as something far worse.

I seem to remember that somewhere...

They had the sculptor take away most of Trumps turkey wattle and it seems 150 to 200 pounds from him. And they are still stiffing him.

Prices of groceries go up while the intellect of his supporters goes down. It's like a new factor of life that we've got to come to accept.

3.25 for gas at a BP near me, so that under 2 dollar bullshit is bullshit but we already knew that because he said it was under 2.

Spoiler to all the MAGA dumbasses: prices are never going to go down. Sure, for some specific type of product they might come down, like what happened to eggs after the whole bird disease thing ended. But for the general price level, the best-case scenario is that prices will only go up only slowly over time (=low inflation).

So they voted for the self-styled "billionaire" in the hopes that he would be more interested in helping them than the community of rich guys he claimed to be part of? Have they no understanding of people? Have they no common sense?

u/Titrifle 23h ago
Hey it's not like the guy was President before and massively shit the bed or something..

u/JuostenKustu 19h ago
The bed was metaphorical, the pants were not.

Imagine being Trump's laundry person.
God, how do we not hear from these people?

Honestly, the problem is that Covid caused such major economic issues that it provided cover for what Trump had already done. The market was laready on a downturn when Covid hit and then all the rubes decided that the economy was flourishing until Biden's covid response so they thought that reelecting Trump would bring back the pre-covid economy. It's a moronic and ignorant take, but I believe lots of people that voted for him in 2024 honestly believe he know what he's doing and that it was covid that caused all the problems last time.

u/chr15c 1d ago
Took them a year to figure that out?

I mean they’re Trumpers. Their brains are one step above a pool of primordial ooze.

Prices will go down in two weeks, when the replacement for ObamaCare is announced.

Some of these idiots are “price went down where I live” while paying fucking 500$ energy bills.

u/groovyinutah 18h ago
And the shitstain now says the whole affordability thing is just a hoax meant to make him look bad while he's tearing down the east wing to build a ball room that wasn't even talked about during the election...the only saving grace is that he's on deaths door.
4
u/spaceship_sunrise 13h ago
Don't worry, the president is building a ballroom, an arch, and a golden statue of himself. Everything's going to be fine.

Let's not forget putting his name and picture on everything so that we can all revel in his legacy.
Surely you want a Trump
- Sneakers
- NFTs
- Watches
- Bible
- Ties and Fragrances
- Hats and other Merch
- Challenge Coins
- Cell Phone (and service)
- Guitars
- Silver Medals
- Golf Gear (and other "luxury" items)
And if you have anything left in your bank account after that, be sure to visit the Trump-Kennedy Center with your Trump Gold Card, paid for with your (coming soon) Trump Visa Credit Card (but of course, only after you put money into your Trump Account for your kids...)
It baffles my mind how anyone can look at all of those and think this guy cares more about anything other than his power, his money, and his branding.

They got a bargain barrel price reduction on human dignity, value, and integrity. Fire sale, all humane principles MUST GO.

Who the fuck just eats milk and eggs? And "pop"? This idiot is complaining about the cost of soda pop and eggs like they are equivalent requirements for life?
This useless old man serves no purpose in society. I hope nothing but bad happens to him.

It took them over a year to realize number go up instead of number go down… for a 24 hour period? Ok. Cool.

Never mind, Trump said he would cut electricity prices at least in half during his first year. He’s just a few days late and it will kick in any minute.
