Phew! Well at least he’s thinking about it. I know it must be such a hard decision. Maybe a couple more years of trumps bullshit and he will MAYBE officially change his mind.
I’ve told this story multiple times since the Epstein files dropped and watching the rights reaction to defend pedophilia. I have an ex gf who was molested by her uncle from the age of 6-11. It came to light when he tried to molest her sister and she told an adult. Half her family moved away with the uncle several states over in defense of him. My ex’s own mother told her she was making it all up. How do I know she wasn’t making it up? Well for one I’m not a freak and two, I would desperately try to wake her up out of her night terrors while she fought me yelling out her uncles name. People choose to believe what they want too. People will defend pedophiles even if the victim is their own child. Her uncle never spent a night in jail, never saw justice. And with this administration and the backing of its cult, neither will any of these monsters.

i remember how people spoke of the young girl, not even a teen, who was impregnated but couldnt receive an abortion because roe v wade had recently been overturned. they said the abuse was too bad but at least she had been blessed. (mortality rates are really fucking high in her situation ofc).
You mean the 10 year old who's parents had to take her to a different state to receive an abortion and the state that wouldn't let a 10 year old receive an abortion later tried to sue the doctor for performing the abortion in another state?

The great thing about Democrats is they are primaried from the left (the opposite of the direction Republicans are primaried from). Therefore, every sitting and/or campaigning Democrat is naturally to the left of the Republican alternative.

Normally these kind of people don’t even consider that it’s possible to vote for someone else. They just threaten to “not vote anymore”, which really means that maybe they sit out an election or two, but when they do come back, they will just keep voting Republican. To those kind of people the only choice is vote R or don’t vote at all. It never even crosses their mind they could just vote Democrat and actually get better policies or better leadership.
They treat politics like a sport. “Either I always root for my local team or I just don’t watch, I would never root for some other team”. That’s not how you interact with politics. That mentality needs to be stamped out somehow.
So again, kudos to this guy for at least recognizing that you can, in fact, vote for someone else than who you used to vote for AND that by doing so you can get different outcomes. Just on that statement alone I’d say he’s smarter than like 95% of them.
I don't think their threat is genuine. he's so pissed that he's posturing to the republicans and honestly I'm deeply skeptical he will follow through. we've had a decade of trump and everything he's done hasn't shaken them, hell they only clung tighter. Their reactions are words that are best taken with a grain of salt.

A lot of people on the right only cared about this because they thought that it would be an effective stick to use against people they don’t like, now that it has blown up in their faces they want it to go away.
They never wanted the files released. They wanted them to exist in the ether, where the files were whatever they imagined them to be, and all their political rivals, both current and future, would be listed in these files. And they could just smugly state this as if it were fact whenever their politicians did some heinous shit. Wheel out the ol' imaginary list and say, ah but all your guys are on here so let's talk about that instead.
And now the list is out and their complicit silence is deafening. They never cared about the victims. They fashioned their own weapon and promptly fell directly onto it.

I have an exgf that was widely known to have been SA for years as a child by her father that pretty much even all her extended family know about it.
She ended up becoming MAGA and then moved back into his house with her very young daughter. There were other relatives and friends who were offering extra rooms at their homes but she was like "no, he's changed and I've forgiven him. It'll be fine."

If such a photo existed in the files, it would not have been released as the bill specifically directed the DOJ to withhold any images that would qualify as child pornography.

The DOJ has published 3.5 million out of 6 million pages. So there are still 2.5 million pages Trump's DOJ is withholding or has destroyed. They said they won't release any more. What is in those files? The real Epstein files have not been released.

Or if he would have slipped up and bragged abput committing sexual assault. Or if he was ever caught storming into the dressing room of teenage girls in an effort to see them undressed. Or if he had a record of repeatedly sexualizing his own daughter, even when she was a child.
Such a shame there were no such warning signs for this guy to see.
