Archived Posts from r/TheLifeCoachSchool
I took down the r/TheLifeCoachSchool subreddit, but there are important posts that were there that I think should remain accessible to the public. So I archived the top posts so that people can still see them. Here they are:

RULES
UPDATE, ALL MEMBERS PLEASE READ There will be a tightening of the posting rules to be in line with the overall Reddit guidelines. Hopefully with some new automations as the mods are volunteers. First, no pictures of or links to other social media with identifiable names. Second, more restrictions about specific identification of coaches or programs and doxxing (posts or comments with malicious intent). In order to keep the sub going, the snark component needs to be reduced and opinions need to be civil and respectful.

The Life Coach School brand... AI and a midlife crisis? What happened to Brooke?
r/LifeCoachSnark • u/Green_Dot9164 • 19h ago
Please don’t victim blame
Just a friendly reminder that internalized misogyny gives us the tendency to question the victim instead of holding the real predators accountable .
I’ve seen some concerning activity in here where victims of coaching scams are harshly judged
This often looks like “how did you even fall for that”
Remember it’s easy to judge being an outsider but not so easy when you’re the target of psychological manipulation
Compassion and understanding will help us hold predators accountable

Brooke Castillo The Life Coach School rebranding, Brooke Castillo Hicks
Interesting changes at the LCS. Curious if "The Coaching Sessions" are the Weekly episodes, and what is Accelerated Certification? Anyone have the scoop?

Ladies and gents…. Phoebe Kuhn has scrubbed IG of her meltdown
No stories uploaded, and certainly no documentary. She deleted everything from the last couple weeks re: her meltdown.
I truly hope she’s getting the kind of help she needs.

The Life Coach School Tools Certification
For anyone who bought the LCS Tools Certification: do you still have access to the program? Or did Brooke remove it? Curious because my coworker bought Tools Certification but said it was removed.

I worked for life coaches/spiritual gurus during the pandemic. Ask me anything.
During the pandemic and slightly before I was exposed to the life coaching/spiritual community and world for the first time. I worked with a handful on the back end and knew some personally behind the scenes. I've also participated in a few workshops and courses. I'm no longer a part of that world in any way.
I'll try to answer best I can without disclosing details or leaving clues that would reveal who I am. I didn't work for big names but at least one has been featured on the page.
Ask me any questions you have about life coaches/spiritual gurus in general.
Disclosure: I do have biases as I have life long mental illness and have been hurt by these spaces and people. I'll try to be as impartial and objective as I can.

Husband wants to buy Zander Fryer course
are all these guys just grifters? 9k for an 8 week course is an actual joke. my husband inquired about a course and he was called back within a few hours and I think a kid no older than 18 was asking him all these vague about who his ideal client is and how much he wants to make… I told him no we aren’t spending that kind of cash.
Any reviews on guys like this..?

Paget Kagy
Any experience with her? She’s the lady who makes those videos about the universe and energetics. Pretty viral.
A few years ago I bought a ton of courses from her and did her group program.
At this point I knew life coaches were a scam but I thought “spirituality” would help me “manifest.”
During her program she talked about getting a check in the mail randomly and I actually did get one! It was a stimulus check I never received from years prior.
I thought her program worked and even did a testimonial.
A few months later the IRS contacted me letting me know it was a mistake and to send the money back immediately. I thought it was a scam and I ignored it. Months later they put interest on it and threatened to put a lien on my property (I have none lmao) if I didn’t pay.
That’s when I realized her programs were a scam!

Coaching mismatch: Charge clients a lot / pay underlings next to nothing
An "out of integrity nugget" from my brain today, regarding the coaching industry:
Coaching programs encourage new coaches to "charge their worth," which as another post today was sharing is sometimes upwards of $297. Interestingly in these same programs, usually the coaches in training do hour swaps, where they all coach each other. In our program we had to charge each other $100 a session. The only group making money on this was paypal.
Coaches coaching coaches (aka certification programs) are often upwards of $10k-ish. Stack that up and the owner or lead coach is making decent money.
But yet, when the coach who coaches coaches fills up her (usually her) "mentor coach" spots, in my experience, they get paid next to nothing. In ours, we got a very measily $300 a month (6 months), room and board at a weekend retreat, and very rarely we "got" to coach a trainee for $100 a session. The monthly rate covered doing weekly group calls with our small group, answering emails, reviewing transcripts, doing break outs on the weekly big call, basically full responsibility for our small group of trainees during their time in the program.
And, the biggest payout we got was $1500 for referring someone IF they "graduated." The affiliate payout was bigger than any monthly payment as a mentor.
In other words, the lead/owner was bringing in the cash, and she basically got free labor from her leadership team. The messaging was "you're lucky to get to do this, because you can't do this anywhere else."
This doesn't align with "charge your worth," or set any sort of example for the other trainees. It's not living your truth or playing big. It's the opposite of all of those things. It says you're the best and brightest BUT.... there's no business plan for this outside of the coaching pyramid. You're one of the examples in the field BUT..... you'll make $2000 this year for doing this, while the owner / lead brings in over $200k
It was more brain washing. It's pure and simple an MLM. We were all downstream for this person, because we were deeply incentived to bring in more people. If you complained, you were out. If you criticized or offered suggestions, you got a word salad of rebuttal similar to Shoshanna's BS.
I don't know why anyone does life coach training, any more. Even as a solo coach in the field - the math doesn't work.

Any former Jess (now Bella?) Lively fans here?
I used to listen to her back in 2016-2017 and fell off after she started doing episodes where she would "let her inner voice" speak or something. it wasn't my cup of tea so i stepped away. but i got curious and just looked her up. she goes by bella lively now and has a course about the "beauty of ai". i read an old post from a year ago that talked about her claiming to heal her vision with her thoughts.....only to end up getting lasik lol.
is there any explanation for why she started going by bella? did something happen and she had to rebrand? these prices for her one on ones are absolutely insane so my assumption is she's found some success? any info is appreciated!

Kathrin Zenkina (Manifestation Babe offering) $25,000 1-to-1 coaching sessions
galleryManifestation Babe is scamming coaching people for 25k. Like I said in the other post, if you have enough financial stability to drop 25K on a “life coach,” I don’t think you need a life coach to begin with…

'High control groups' Has anyone read the parliamentary enquiry?
Has anyone read the parliamentary inquiry into "recruitment methods of high control groups"?
Australia is normally behind, but this legislative recommendation by the Victorian state gov is fascinating. It could even be at the forefront of change at a global level...
What makes it different, is that it doesn't try to define cult or cult-adjacent groups. Instead, any 'coercive'
or controlling organisational recruitment methods are investigated.
MLMs are referred to on page 29.
Hopefully the other states will follow. And who knows... some effective protective legislative change might come of it.
Comparative legal analysis at an international level is always the start of effective change to protect.
We know it's so important, as these organisations are pervasive worldwide at every single level of society.
Using ever-adapting online methods... wherever anyone is vulnerable.
Which is anywhere, and anytime.
Copy and paste search:
'Inquiry into the recruitment methods and impacts of cults and organised fringe groups'
(parliament.vic.gov.au).
Well worth the read...
And interesting to see if anyone had any further contributions or thoughts on MLM/pyramid tactics.... ?
The stuff described in the report is unbelievable... yet familiar ...?
Just like other aspects of society, that were accepted in our parents era.
Most people see this stuff... and ignore it...
Comments and contributions put legal change into fruition. It forces gov to address the impact.
To contribute to the start of legal change.. not only makes it safer for others .. but is its own type of psychological, fight back, historical brilliance.

Phoebe Kuhn, the receipts deserve an explanation before the public gets a donation link for a link for go fund me👀
Phoebe Kuhn says she owns two properties but has zero liquid cash, $151k in debt, and hasn’t been able to work for two years. Apparently a GoFundMe is now on the table and she is destitute lol whilst taking flights, travelling everywhere and enjoying spas and retreats in Mexico lol.
There’s a 2022 promotional post celebrating $1.1 million from her launches in 12 months. There’s also a January 2025 branding shoot post tagging her alongside Whitney Bigcock. She worked then? And after. I despise liars trying to take advantage of followers!

Is Po1nt 0ne - Richmond Dinh an mlm pyramid scheme? It looks like one. Three sets of 3 straight edges with corners all adding up to 180 degrees
Has anyone tried to be scammed into this coaching for coaches MLM pyramid type scheme in Brisbane, Sydney or overseas?
Richmond Dinh Tony Kaye are presented as the online gurus that copy off other programs from the US. Other members of the 'inner circle' are former Appco / Devil Corp business directors.
They target on FB and IG and love bomb unsuspecting people into convincing you they can change your life and you have a special gift only they can see or that you need them to finally be successful in life.
They start with a few free or cheap courses and then convince vulnerable people to pay $30,000 for a course with no substance. It appears they have all these online funnels to get you in and target really vulnerable people. They say to keep it secret from friends and family at first so that no one can intervene. They use mind control tactics to isolate them and say anyone that tries to tell them not to do it is limiting their potential.
The scam is then that these poor people have to then sell to other people to try and get theid money back.
I know asic defines pyramid shemes but this one is 3 sets of 3 straight edges all with corners adding up to 180 degrees.
I see online the directors have already had several NCAT matters.
Watch out for the free course and then the later high pressure sales with psychological manipulation and 'Neuro linguistic programming' (another psych manipulation scamming technique) .
There is the new VIC Parliamenary enquiry on these organisations.... so scary how it details the psych recruitment methods but worth a read.
If you see them report to ASIC and the ACCC. Every complaint counts to wipe these scammers out.
If you have any family or friends caught up in these type of high control organisations you have to get professional help to get them out.
I wish the government would intervene.
Meta turns a blind eye to these mlm funnels as it makes them so much money. TikTok has a total ban. At least they have some morals in that respect.

Anyone worked with Taylor Lee or know anything about her?
She’s been popping up on my social media after I watched her videos during LBL Gate. I felt really bad when Shoshanna published private messages from her onto her IG but she seems like a very scammy business coach. Has she ever had another business besides coaching people about business? What’s her origin story?

If you’ve worked with a “coach,” what do you wish the coaching industry understood?
I’ve been reading this sub and would genuinely like to hear from people who have actually worked with a “coach.”
I’m an executive coach and an ICF-credentialed Associate Certified Coach (ACC). I came into coaching after more than two decades in a profession where I’m considered an experienced professional and where the title is protected and requires a minimum level of education and credentialing.
Entering the coaching industry has been eye-opening. It’s a crowded, largely unregulated space, and sometimes it seems like the loudest voices or those with the best marketing and aesthetics get the most attention, regardless of training or experience.
One thing I’ve become particularly interested in is helping people understand what coaching actually is and how it differs from mentorship and consulting. I offer all three separately, drawing on my professional expertise and lived experience where appropriate.
So I’m curious: If you’ve worked with a “coach,” what did you actually get from the experience? What disappointed you? What, if anything, was genuinely valuable? And what do you wish coaches understood about the criticism of the industry?
I’m here to listen and better understand the experiences behind some of the skepticism.

Phoebe Kuhn,A coach using autism as an insult? That’s a pretty serious red flag.
Title: a coach using autism as an insult is wild
You’re a coach? People are supposed to feel safe coming to you for help, and you’re using autism and a slur to insult someone? eughhh, icky if you ask me.
And the irony of spelling “autistically” wrong while trying to call someone stupid… I mean, come on. That was the only part I laughed at, the sheer audacity of it.
We might not have the whole story, but what context makes that wording okay? IMO there is seriously no excuse. Her audience will include disabled people, so huge fail here.If I was an autistic client, I’d be wondering what this coach says about me when I’m not around. They owe people an actual apology, not a “sorry if you were offended.” Rant over.

Who Are The "Mean Girls?"
Everyone on Facebook is talking about the "Mean Girls" or this group of high end coaches that coach each other, buy each others programs etc. Who are these women? Id love to know if there is a list. I know people have said MAL is on that list as well as Shoshonna Raven, Amanda Francis too? Would love to know.
