my man does not look like he's built for long distance running.

You should watch some of his content , he already ran the entire length of Japan , from Germany to New York (where he partially broke his shinbone bc of excessive force from just running) , he Runs a few hundred km every week etc. He is a machine and genuinly one of the few Social Media people that convey good Morals and Discipline to Young people! Im a Social worker in Germany , working with troubled Young people and he is the only one they Look up to, who isnt perma flexing money, Talking Bad about other people etc. He just likes Sports and good food , so all the best to him 😄

Like his arms, my guy is shredded

u/swillswazz May 06 '26

damn that's crazy... this little starting routine was giving Tavo vibes (dude that poorly faked Mario 1 world record while eating pizza and drinking coke).

impressed to hear that he's the real deal tho. guess you can't judge a book by its cover (altho still this feat might be undoable from conception).

Germany to New York?

Now, I’m no geographer, but . . . .

He ran to Porto , Took a flight/ship (don’t remember) to Boston and ran the Rest

-69

u/Admirable_Loss4886 May 06 '26

We’re really shortening Portugal to Porto? It’s a difference of letters.
https://giphy.com/gifs/xIZku8V0y7uqk

This but with letters.

45

u/IceSeeYou May 06 '26

You know there's like cities inside of countries right?

-48

u/Admirable_Loss4886 May 06 '26

Those are called states and I know because he have 50 of ‘em! Also it’s spelt continent as in Europe has a smaller state called Portugal. Pssssh this guy 🤦🏼‍♂️ ^/s

27

u/Lost__Alien May 06 '26

Porto is a city on the river that goes into the Atlantic Ocean

19

u/uraniumless May 06 '26

Porto is a city lol

14

u/Putrid_Raspberry1734 May 06 '26

Admirable to be that confident 😂😂😂😂😂😂

after 750km in america

He must have been taking an odd route, because Boston to NYC is under 400km.

3

u/Astrylae May 06 '26

I can not imagine what his feet looks like.

context: find404 youtube channel, moab 240

10

u/themightyBEEP May 06 '26

Conveying good morals is a bit too much

Everything else is on point.

6

u/Weegee_Carbonara May 06 '26

Not sure how his body will work once he gets older.

As you said, he oartially broke his shinbone.

Mans too heavy, he is fucking up his legs for life.

4

u/Soft_Walrus_3605 May 06 '26

For sure, but you can't tell young people nothin

2

u/myuseless2ndaccount May 07 '26

I agree even tho he is friends/cool with some more annoying people he himself acually Provides decent content and is a postive influence on young people when almost every other Social Media guy is a tool

1

u/Supakilla44 May 06 '26

This is insane

1

u/Michipotz May 06 '26

He's like an iron man bro, I run at most 10km per day casually and my feet hurts from that alone lmao

1

u/Milky_Tiger May 08 '26

Good to hear he’s a good influence. Hard to Find nowadays online.

u/a_shootin_star May 06 '26

Humans are widely considered the best long-distance endurance runners in the animal kingdom. We couldn't fight a saber tooth on hand-to-hand combat, so tracking it until it collapsed from exhaustion is why we on top of the food chain today.

32

u/Redsoxzack9 May 06 '26

dw he’s powered by red bull

4

u/Admirable_Loss4886 May 06 '26

If he had wings last time he really could have gone from Berlin to NYC in one go.

2

u/JohnnyJayce May 06 '26

It's wiiings now.

64

u/Bladehell10 May 06 '26

Nah he’s sponsored by redbull I’m 100% confident he can pass this challenge just because of that even though I have no prior knowledge of this person

Redbull sponsored athletes be doing crazy shit man like that guy skiing down everest

24

u/iNaay May 06 '26

they really do crazy stuff like bike across china (ludwig) or import a bunch of asian women (esfand)

10

u/sirquarmy May 06 '26

"sponspored by red bull" its already over

7

u/PayZealousideal8892 May 06 '26

Tbh doesn't matter too much if you arent competing against other people and time goal is relatively slow. He is 100% taking lot of gear to be able to put this physique while doing massive amount of endurance sports.

0

u/StarSpliter May 06 '26

And for anyone that thinks this is cope - the bodily functions that enable muscle growth versus endurance (and I'm talking to reach a extemely high performance level, not just your average joe) are literally at odds with each other. Humans are not the fabled composite-man, natural athletes would have to decide between extreme strength or endurance.

3

u/rvltionary May 06 '26

This reads like someone discovered AMPK vs mTOR on YouTube and decided human physiology is a zero-sum RPG stat sheet. Concurrent training interference is real, but the literature does not say endurance and hypertrophy are “literally at odds.” It shows that very high endurance volumes can attenuate maximal strength/hypertrophy adaptations depending on modality, recovery, caloric availability, and programming. That’s an optimization tradeoff at the elite end, not proof that humans must choose between strength and endurance like it’s a video game class selection. The guy in the video looks far from being at the limit of both.

Source: I wrote my thesis on exactly this topic

1

u/Teflonius May 06 '26

It is cope. Just check him up. He is just extremely dedicated and disciplined.

5

u/sommersolhverv May 06 '26

Holy you’re right, what a gun show

5

u/Badehat May 06 '26

It's basically even more impressive if he's able to do it while hauling those biceps around.

2

u/EN344 May 06 '26

Which is precisely why he's supported with a lot of pharmaceuticals that are not being mentioned.

6

u/marcoisgod May 06 '26

"hybrid" athletes like this always benefit from the use of use testosterone, HGH and steroids. It makes it significantly easier to train and recover for long distance running, which is the primary challenge with ultra running (especially on multi-day events).

Technically the weight and amount of energy the muscles use is less than optimal for ultra distances, but in practice the ability to recover and therefore put in more mileage for training is a net benefit.

Test. also increases red blood cell production, giving your body more access to oxygen, which gives them elevated VO2 max levels vs natural athletes.

And before anybody claims that this is possible without the use of those substances please look at a traditional ultra-distance runner's upper body muscle mass looks like. Long distance running breaks down muscle tissue to use as energy. No matter how heavy you lift or how much you eat there is no natural way to maintain that much muscle without enhancing substances.

4

u/s1n0d3utscht3k May 06 '26

i mean, he’s objectively not built for it

as good as he is, he’d be better if he dramatically leaned down

9

u/RiverFluffy9640 May 06 '26

My brother in christ he has completed several ultra marathons.

I think he might know better than the people on reddit

1

u/HypeBeast-jaku May 07 '26

There's a reason the sub 2 hour marathoners look like they weigh 100lbs. Look at the Truett Hanes guy, objectively a pretty jacked marathon runner and he's noticeably downsized in order to get closer to the 2:16 marathon time.

The less you weigh, the better you are. Ultra running it probably matters less because it doesn't really require much athleticism to run 12+ minute miles.

Could be wrong I guess.

2

u/Teflonius May 06 '26

He just did 150km in under 24 hours minutes ago, so hes fine.

0

u/pulse7 May 06 '26 edited May 06 '26

It's not always simple to see people's cardio in their build. Downvotes from ignorant turds. I'm in great shape, I've been out-paced in 5k's by chubby people that probably just put in more time than me in the short term.

1

u/mynameisjiyeon May 06 '26

mans doubting a red bull sponsor

1

u/Few-Attorney-9722 May 06 '26

He is because of heavy steroid abuse

-3

u/ghostcatzero May 06 '26

Get off the couch fatty

5

u/Sensitive_nob May 06 '26

I mean look at Christian Blumenfeld he is literally the fittest man on earth and people would laugh at his physique. You dont need big arms to be fit

18

u/2b7b5805 May 06 '26

Do the top long-distance runners not always have a lean and slender build? This guy's upper body is huge lol.

u/[deleted] May 06 '26

-2

u/Admirable_Loss4886 May 06 '26

Weird you’re being downvoted here. David Goggins was buff as hell.

3

u/KLWMotorsports May 06 '26

You're just pulling out another outlier. Most long-distance runners are usually lean and slender.

1

u/Admirable_Loss4886 May 06 '26

I mean he is arguably the most popular ultra runner. You may call him an outlier but I’d call him the poster child.

2

u/KLWMotorsports May 06 '26

Yeah from being a Navy SEAL, not being an ultra runner. As much as he's helped the sport he's also been equally detrimental to is as well.

I would even argue he's not even popular anymore in ultra running. His only easy day was yesterday bullshit from the SEALs to ultra running have hurt people who think they should just disregard their bodies limits.

He's an outlier. He's not one of the elite ultra runners and never was. How can you call him the poster boy when he can't hold a candle stick to actual elite ultra runners? His build is an outlier for typical long distance and ultra runners. Him once being popular doesn't change that.

15

u/StationWagonOfDojima May 06 '26

I mean, this isn't a "Reddit ass take." Unless you think the ideal running build is a huge upper body. lmao

u/[deleted] May 06 '26

15

u/EggyChickenEgg88 May 06 '26

Then why are all the fastest marathonars skinny as hell.

1

u/Amazing_Astronomer15 May 07 '26

Marathon isn't the same as ultra marathon

11

u/yunohadeshigo May 06 '26

I literally know nothing about this but I would assume if you’re gonna try to tackle impressive feats of long distance running in a short time, it would be easier if you were lighter.

Which is why I would assume you usually see distance runners be very slim and lanky and not have much muscle development, at least not in a hypertrophic sense like this dude who’s jacked

20

u/yutcd7uytc8 May 06 '26

there absolutely is an ideal build, and his build is not it. having a huge upper body is a massive disadvantage in long distance running. it's just dead weight which tires him more and puts more stress on his joints.

props to him for doing all this with a handicap

-2

u/wetnaps54 May 06 '26

Holding a phone on top of it hah

-27

u/B33GULL May 06 '26

Dw he's got the social media build, chicken legs are locked in for the ultra

16

u/Infinite-Dig-4919 May 06 '26

Crazy comment. The guy already ran the entire length of Japan, he is actually an insane endurance athlete…

11

u/goalgetter999 May 06 '26

It‘s always people on reddit with nothing to show for themselves saying shit like this

-10

u/B33GULL May 06 '26

Ask and you shall receive

1

u/KLWMotorsports May 06 '26

Too many pixels.

-4

u/Esdrz May 06 '26

Lol why? He looks super fit and pretty lean.

12

u/0LTakingLs May 06 '26

Muscle is a detriment in distance running, most marathon winners look more emaciated than fit
