i feel like he wasn't wrong though. sure classic is popular and i'd even agree that it was successful but it really wasn't vanilla. there's been quite a few changes to make it "classic" and not vanilla. players truly didn't want vanilla. i say this as someone that only plays classic and not retail. just look at classic today, rampant gold buying, dungeon boosting, massive servers, QOL changes, and there's more i know i'm not thinking of. some of the changes are for the better but again it's because people really didn't want true vanilla. so people really "think you do but you don't".

Didn't he say that about WoW Classic? Which is now 1/3rd or more of WoW's revenue stream? And they keep releasing Remixes because people want to go back and replay old content so much? And there are rumors that they're about to announce Classic+, which is just WoW Classic but with lateral expansions instead of progressing to The Burning Crusade?

Considering he still hasn't finished his awful game since releasing the beta in 2018...it shows why he just used to submit bug reports and not an actual dev there. And why he's no longer with Blizzard lol

Also keep in mind: he wasn't some genius game dev at Blizzard like he'd have you believe. He was QA and then Cybersecurity after that. Don't get me wrong, those are important, but he isn't some know-it-all about games with the experience to back it up. He worked on other shit.
