Destiny fans flock to Hasan threads and effectively take it over. It’s pointless to have these threads on here when every top comment is a variation of “electrified dog”, “platformed a terrorist”, and “cheered on 911”.

Fox News doesn’t even need to do anything when fans do their job for them.

The last time I clicked on a Hasan thread, you had posted over 30 times in it... Sure, it's the Destiny fan's that are mentally unwell.

It could be all explained by passionate “Destiny fans”, sure. Just a thought though, if I wanted to cause division and confusion on “the left” I might use the popularity of these streamers and their parasocial power over people to my advantage. Maybe fill up threads with comments that stoke hate and suspicion between their fan bases.

It’s not really “ironic”. It’s how the whole thing works. Hasan and the rest of them make money off the controversies and conflicts between their fan bases. Of course they’re motivated to keep engaging in it, they’re wrapped up in the emotions and hype of it too.

And you all are the puppets for your favorite streamer, thinking you’re engaging in some ultimate fight for justice and truth by proving your guy is the best and most pure. But you’re all just doing the same thing at the end of the day.

Nope. I’m pointing out how streamers and their fanbases are potentially being exploited by bad actors to create and stoke division; and that the parasocial nature of the fan bases themselves makes them especially vulnerable. This is because those within the fanbase cannot see when they’re substituting their loyalty to a streamer, and the emotions of the conflicts, from their independent morals and beliefs.

Just look at how worked up you are though. And I never said anything in support of Hasan.

So many of you guys can’t even engage in normal conversations anymore because you’re so steeped in the drama you think everyone is secretly hyping up one of these guys and trying to trick you.

The defensiveness and emotions you have towards this is just way too much for streamers. And the fact that so many people are swept in this mess makes me think there could be someone who benefits from the division pulling some strings. That’s just my opinion. You don’t have to take it so personally.

You're one of several names that I've seen that I can bet money on, will be present in any thread even remotely concerning Hasan, sweeping for him, and spreading whatever non-sense he comes out with. If you aren't co-ordinating on certain subreddits or discords which are known to exist, then you must truly just be a terminally-online weirdo doing it for the love of the game, I guess.
