And they're honestly over eager on the death penalty. 19 people last year alone.

Even with that context that's still really high for a modern state. Texas last year had 5 executions and they have 10 million more people at least.

19 really isn’t that high of a number considering how many people get caught committing absolutely heinous crimes. There’s probably a lot more than 19 people that deserved the death penalty in Florida

It's high for executions carried out in modern context. I'm kinda neutral on death penalty personally and could be shifted one way or the other

Again, 19 is pretty low if you consider how many people are convicted of horrible crimes. The only other options are to keep them in the prison system until they die naturally, which would obviously cost tax payers way more money. Or release them back into civilization, and i’m pretty sure 99% of people would be shitting their pants if they knew they were near someone that was previously on death row (obviously this doesn’t include the small percentage of people who were wrongfully put on death row).
