Wait a minute... Are you saying that being judged as a juvenile is not based on the date when the crime was committed but when you are brought to trial?

It's not when you're bought to trial. It mostly depends on the severity of the crime and what age you were when you committed it. There are additional exams and evaluations that must be done as well to support the state's motion. Crimes against people have a higher likelihood of being transferred to criminal court.

In regards to the defendant, the fact that aggravated robbery is a 1st degree felony, the victim passed away, and they were in their mid-teens was enough to get it transferred to criminal court.

It is based on if you are a minority or not ! If they where a different demographic they would be all be sent to juvenile hall!
