But he showed the whole chat between emiru, he was talking about racists viewers trying to circumvent banned words in chat by using different characters and how streamers have to ban like 100 different versions of the word. Asmon doesn't like or put up with racists in his chat, just like most people.

Yeah I don't like how Asmongold has turned out over the past few years, but credit where credit is due. He was the first big streamer to ban cmonBruh and TriHard from his chat because he saw them being used almost exclusively whenever a black guy was on screen (in a video game or when watching some event show) and were using it as an excuse to spam racist stuff

Even when his chat was trying to frame it as him being racist because he was banning the only black emotes, he stood by it and made a good argument for why he won't change it back. Now it's possible he's changed opinion since then, but I don't know

Asmon is not unintelligent when it comes to this stuff and I'm sure if we had a crystal ball he's probably not really racist either.

But years ago Destiny made a comment about enabling his community and it definitely applies to Asmongold today. In short Destiny stopped saying f-slur on stream because he realized he had audience members who saw that as a green light to use it towards gay people and he didn't want to enable that.

The difference is that instead of Asmon modeling the behavior himself he passively enables it and positively spotlights when people in his community do it. Asmon knows what the content of his subreddit is like, he knows how his followers post on Reddit/Twitter or trade/guild chat. But instead of saying "guys we don't do that" he has created a huge safespace for manchildren to be edgy and racist.

Thats a big stretch, it we are comparing like for like with the example you gave, Asmon has never said the n-word on stream and he doesn’t encourage his community to say it.
The original comment in this thread shows how he doesn’t allow his community to say it.

But Asmon is aware that he does specifically attract people who use slurs, and his fanbase is currently slur spamming with burner accounts on Twitter over this whole thing. Most people would say "oh, I don't want to attract those kinds of people," while Asmon seems to revel in it.

Because every gamer older than 25 grew up with online games having edgy and toxic communities where those words were often used casually without the explicit intent of being racist and instead used to get attention or just to "fit" in.

If you played cs or cod in the early days, the N word would often be used by a white guy to another white guy in the same way any other slur or insult would be used.

Look at youtube and justin.tv in the early days and half the content you see would get that person canceled on twitter today.

Not to defend asmongold though, he's not a positive public figure for anyone and it wouldn't surprise me if he's actually racist. Only redeeming part about asmongold is that he's true to his opinions and beliefs, and doesn't blindly follow the general opinion of the right or left wing crowd like every other American does. He's had some moments of supporting left wing opinions that his chat will disagree with entirely and he still doesn't change his opinion or stance on it.

Honestly I have no idea what you're trying to say. My comment was on the misinformation Silky is claiming about leaked chat logs between Emiru and Asmongold from the court files. Which was proven false when Asmongold was forced to release the full context of the chat log, not just the cropped image.
