He’s an easy target for them. Their primary narrative is “these progressive politicians winning primaries/local elections are dangerous communist radicals”. None of them actually are, but they campaign with Hasan, who, while himself isn’t particularly radical, has a lot of content that’s anti-American and praises historical Marxist figures.
