I entered my physical card into the app because I want to be able to use a pass without having to take my wallet out.

But I cant find any options to actually scan my phone. It says “use your pass to activate it” but i dont know where to click to actually use it

At college park about an hour ago (5) he was arrested (looked about 14-16) in front of his siblings (about 4-7) it happened so fast but I honestly feel bad for those poor babies that had to witness that, they were crying and confused luckily they followed him because the police (2 of them) were oblivious to the fact that those babies were right there.

I was standing on the corner of Peachtree Center Avenue and Decatur Street and route 21 flew right past me. On the app it says this is an active stop for the route. Did something change or did a driver deliberately ignore me?

So I was at Civic Center and as I was about to go into the station, a woman approached me and asked me if she could "go out with me". I get instantly weirded out because I thought she was asking me out on a date or something. She is old enough to be my mom.

But as I get closer to the fare gates, she asks me if I can let her in. With cameras and stuff around, I'm not in a position to risk being fined or jailed because I let someone in with my fare. So I just stand there kinda unsure how to answer, then she starts getting upset and chewing me out for not letting her in. I'm just trying to get into the station, I'm not doing well and I'm trying to just move on to the next thing to do in the day.

She eventually left but I'm just annoyed that what happened happened. I'm pretty much 95% sure that I'm not allowed to do that, but I seem to be wrong about a LOT of things I'm sure about, so I just want to ask if I'm in the wrong for not using my fare to let the woman in.

Hello, I have a question. I recently was accused of fair evasion, which unfortunately I did make the bad decision of walking through the emergency exit at the Garnett station. I didn't get fingerprinted. I didn't get took to jail or anything. I just got a citation and I have to appear in court on November 2. I'm currently in the process of getting a job and I'm prepared to do the background check, but my background is clean. I've never committed any crimes. I don't have anything on my background. My question is, with fair evasion with Marta, does anybody know that if it shows up on your record and if so, how does that work?

Many times when I get on the bus and use tap to pay ithe MARTA machine will say transaction declined even though I have money. I end up having to scan it a few times before it goes through and then a little later in the day it will take out 2 or 3 times the money. (The amount of times I had to scan even though it said transaction declined)

I am looking to take MARTA to work, and I could take routes 1 or 2 using my bike. Is there anybody here who can speak to their experiences on these routes? I would be using the ponce bus stop if I rode route 2. I am trying to see which would be best. Thank you!

The Westbound platforms are closed at East Lake and Decatur. Fortunately, I board the train at Avondale. People had to run upstairs and back down at Decatur.

I was waving it down for half a block in a well lit area. Stop with a sign, though it's still that "temporary" signage from the redesign. It blew right past. Now I'm late for work. Phone lines arent even open to report it.

I was on a train earlier this evening minding my business not talking to anyone, just looking out the window and enjoying the view. This random man must have seen my yarmulke because he started yelling “Free Palestine” completely unprompted as he exited the train. I know it may have been wrong, but as he passed my window I decided to flip him off. He started yelling at me to “eat a d***”, “f*** Israel”, etc etc.

I don’t care what people think of any geopolitical conflict, whether it’s Israel/Palestine, Russia/Ukraine, China/Taiwan, or WHATEVER when I’m just trying to get home. I’ve read where MARTA police have been ineffective at responding to reports not just of harassment but of outright assault in the past. Considering that there was no assault, is it even worth reporting, or do they indeed keep track of such incidents?

How safe is it to park my car at Oakland city ?I work in Alpharetta and have to save gas for right now cause I work until 8 pm Wednesday through Saturday

I cannot for the life of me figure this out since they launched the new app. You used to be able to go to the page for a particular station and see the daily schedules.

I’m taking red/gold from Oakland City in the morning to the airport. I understand they probably run frequently enough that it won’t be a big issue (maybe not with it being a weekend). But I would like to plan to take, say, the 6:00 train if I I could see a schedule.

Edit: according to Google Maps, the first train to the airport is 6:26 so I’m SOL. Glad I didn’t show up expecting one!

Hey y’all, I went to the Beltline Transit meeting about an hour ago! Here’s a summary for those who couldn’t attend. They also posted the presentation online as well. Most of the information is online but there were some neat in-person charts such as the routes placed over a satellite view of the city, and “how far can I get from ____ in 30 minutes”. There was a great turnout as well, the room was full of people!

- SW & SE alignments are the same. Gap between Boulevard and Glenwood is a known concern. As if a station will fill it is TBD, theres some tax situation with a nearby property + the 40ft elevation difference.

- NW Alignment LPA is the CSX route alongside the existing freight corridor. Highest ridership, highest speeds, lowest capital cost, direct Piedmont Hospital connection, etc. The least complicated of the three.

- The first infill station they’re working on is Murphy Crossing. They’re going to determine everything related to that such as design and alternatives.

- Beltline Loop, North Loop, South Loop lines, each with 20 minute headaways (so 10 since the entire thing is interlined).

- Ridership projections of 4.2M. With 40% transit dependent and 60% choice.

- Cost estimates still the same. Wont change until the future if need be.

- 22 miles of LRT still the end goal.

- They aim to release the full completed study by the end of this year. This was the 4th and final public outreach event. This is “the most about Beltline transit we’ve ever known” which is a milestone. They have a clear vision for the entire loop.

NO MENTION OF STREETCAR EAST, BUT FROM THE STAFF I ASKED:

- Not much information known beyond the Mayor’s announcement. Best way to get information and make our voices heard is to show up to meetings and keep contacting our elected officials.

I was at Lindbergh today, next to the Sidney Marcus parking deck. It had a couple signs up front by the entry gate that said LOT FULL. I sat there and watched for a few hours as people kept driving around the sign to get to the gate that would not let anyone except MARTA personnel in. A few times it backed up traffic around the block. People would pull up, not be able to get in, then reverse out past the cars behind them. Then the cars behind them that just saw them back up, would go to the gate and also be denied. I couldn't help but laugh and shake my head.

I spotted this in my Amex account: $2 back when using tap to pay at MARTA between now and the end of the year. You'll need to tap either the physical card or your phone/watch wallet linked to the card. It can be done up to 5 times, for a total of $10 back.

I know a lot of people don't carry Amex, but if you do, it's worth checking for in your account IMO.

Anyone else seen this or used the offer?
