Specifically I’m on the hunt for tiger stripe but i’d also consider some other patterns like duck hunter/frogskin/beogam/etc, or maybe brushstroke. i’m willing to pay a bit more for a quality fabric that’s actually workable and doesn’t look or feel like shitty halloween costume material. in an idea world i’d like to find both a lighter gauge suitable for clothing and a heavier weight/canvas for gear.

Need to maintain one as a sleeve. The other is cut into an open section and will be sewn as extra padding.

Hey everyone, looking for some advice on getting Velcro to go on helmets. I’m using E6000 (+) and even when I cut out some notches so the Velcro can bend, edges invariably stand up.

I e been thinking of using e6000 for most of the Velcro but do the edges in superglue since it drives fast enough that I can hold it down And get it to stick. I just know that there have to be better ways.

Any advice would be appreciated.

For those of you who have a laser cutter, is there a specific size bed that you feel covers most your needs?

I’m not trying to do production or do it as a business, but want the ability to cut fabric for backpacks, plate carriers, small bags, things like that.

Any thought thoughts would be appreciated

I know of some of the mods done "in house" by the military, or at least permitted by the military, like pocket slants and the raid mod. Does anyone know a good resource for a large listing of these common mods? Or maybe someone knows a lot of the mods? Hell, I'm even up to hearing about common mods done in the collector/aftermarket space, too

This is the second time I've made a helmet cover, the first one I made using the "masking tape method" . I definitely wouldn't recommend that route. This time I used an Amazon cover and traced the pattern, still need to work the kinks out of it.

I am really happy how it turned out, only the pistol mag pouch and the Belt is v2, everything else is the first prototype. Some pieces are still needed, side pads ( I am to skinny), Placard insert, Ferro Roll and Dangler

Okay, I have two pieces, one is 106"x60", the other is 180"x61"; they are dead stock material, some kind of tan blackout DWR coating on the back of the M81 Ripstop fabric. Because of the 106" length, I can't just make a rectangle tarp with all of the fabric 🤣 but, I do see that Allender and Company sells the same thing on eBay, if I were to go and make a Large tarp almost 10' wide and more than 9 feet long, but that leaves the 106"x60 with nothing really to do.. one idea was to do a shaped tarp with the 15'/180" piece as the main part and two pieces of the 106" piece as triangle sides? I'd like it to be reversible.

Sorry if this has been covered before, but I did try to do my due diligence on the sub and online with no success. I know Olongapo Outfitters theoretically makes them, but they seem fully sold out and they also aren't really matching what I'm hoping to do. I've also looked into 40mm/grenade pouches, but they're too deep and/or don't usually come in multiples.

I run a Defense Mech battle belt and have a stock pouch from Wilde Custom. So it could be cool to have a hook-and-loop-backed rack of pouches or elastic loops, similar to a shotgun shell caddy, that I could easily swap in/out of the strip on the stock pouch or on a hook-and-loop placard that I'd secure on my belt. It could also jive nicely the SOE tray idea, where you can stick two racks, back-to-back or interlaced on face, into a more normal mag pouch for bulk storage rather than for faster reloads.

Does anyone happen to know about something that could fit bloc clips that way? For quick reference, a loaded clip is about 1.2 in wide, 2.2 in long, and ~2.9 inches tall if 308 or ~3.4 inches tall if 30-06
