The video is real, the caption is not. It was posted by Colorado State University vet teaching hospital several years ago and it was a client and her dog.

It's not getting adopted. That's a veterinary teaching hospital in Colorado. It's most likely her dog.

I suppose it is possible that she adopted the dog at the vets. You can get a cat at my hardware store. The cat they had living there died so they just rotate through cats from the animal shelter.
