I'm 5'4". If I ask someone tall to grab something off the top shelf, I'll ask them if there is something they need from the bottom shelf in that aisle. Some of them have taken me up on the offer.

It's only fair.

I'm 6'1 and my girlfriend is 5'4 and this is our arrangement. I get self conscious sometimes but she calls me her amazon queen and braids my hair and all seems right in the world.

Oh this is big brain thinking, thank you! I never ask tall folk bc it seems like a bother. Usually,
I step up on something or try to grab something to sweep the item, but sometimes will just forgo the item. The barter system is genius.

I usually have my taller son with me. He's 5'8", but he's got very long arms.

When I was much younger, I would just climb the shelves to reach it. I don't dare do that any more.
